Penn State Nittany Lions at Iowa Hawkeyes

Two teams finishing their respective seasons in starkly different fashion. Penn State has lost its last 4 games while Iowa has strung together 3 wins in a row, including 2 consecutive road triumphs over Maryland and Wisconsin. Iowa is still not in the bubble conversation but their recent play has put them on the radar. The Hawkeyes can ill-afford to cough up one here at home. Their offense has struggled some of late, but they have averaged 85.9 points per game at home, compared to the 70.9 points per game that the Nittany Lions have averaged on the road. The Hawkeyes have also played good defense of late as they have allowed just 67.5 points per game in regulation over their last 4 games. Penn State may be just the team Iowa needs because they simply haven’t had any success against the number at Iowa. Iowa is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games versus Penn State at home. Iowa is desperate and needs to keep winning to have a prayer. This will be leading scorer, Peter Jok’s, last game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena and it’s hard to see them coming out flat. Senior Day in front of the home crowd makes me lean towards the Hawkeyes in Iowa City.
