  LISTED PITCHERS: Griffin/Cotton
  The Rangers play the finale of their three-game series with the Athletics looking to salvage a victory as Oakland has won the first two games. We believe they will do just that. The starting pitchers for today’s game are for the Rangers RH A.J. Griffin (6-4, 5.10 ERA) and he will face the Athletics RH Jharel Cotton (6-10, 5.63 ERA). Griffin has had a rough 2017 for the Rangers, in the first two months of the year he was pitching terrible then on May 27th he went on the disabled list with a left intercostal strain. Since his return on August 3rd, he has pitched much better. He has improved his ERA 3 runs from the month of May compared to August. In addition, Griffin is a far more superior pitcher in day games as his ERA is 3 1/2 runs better than in night games. Griffin pitched his first 2 years in Oakland and is very familiar with the Coliseum. The last time Griffin pitched at the Coliseum was on April 17 and he allowed only one hit in six innings pitched. We see a solid start for Griffin today as he pitches in very comfortable surroundings.
  As for Cotton, he has been hot and cold for Oakland. The problem for Cotton is that he pitches much better on the road than he does at home. In 10 home starts this year he is sporting a 7.88 ERA with a WHIP of 1.677. The only time he faced the Rangers this year was coincidentally on April 17 as Griffin was his mound opponent that day. He allowed 5 runs in 5 2/3 innings as Texas won 7-0. We see history repeating itself as the Rangers come out with the easy victory. Backing our selection is the fact that the Rangers are 7-0 in Griffins last 7 starts vs. American League West and the fact that the Athletics are 1-6 in their last 7 games following a win.
  So let’s get the job done with the Texas Rangers.

Guys FWIW....not trying to get anyone to change your plays but....if your still undecided this is something to consider??? I have not saw even one 49ers play here and including several other forums WOW!! It's ALL major plays on Minny....GOY, GOW, GOM, get the point?
