7-Unit Play. #907. Take Over 9.5 Runs Miami vs. Atlanta (Thursday @ 7:35pm est)
We roll with the Over here as this is a great spot for both these teams to get their offense going in a big way. You have an Atlanta team that has been prolific on the offensive side of the ball over the last few games and has put up run totals of 12, 5, 2, 8 and 5 runs. This is a team that is 7-4 against the Marlins overall this year and they have continuously come through against the Marlins and today should be no different. Strailey has been more human in the second half having given up 12 runs over his last 4 starts and 9 walks in the process as well as 15 hits over his last 2 starts and 6 homeruns over his last 4 games. Note, prior to that he had not given up 6 runs in ages. Combine that with the Marlins scoring 2, 1 and 1 run of late and they are itching to burst on offense and might not be a better chance than here against a newbie like Newcomb. Remember, he has given up 14 walks over his last 4 starts and 25 hits over his last 4 starts and faces an angry Marlins team so it sets up well for the Over here between these two teams. The Over is 4-1 for the Marlins against a left hander and the Over is 3-1-1 for the Braves in their last 5 home games.
