The Raptors and Spurs are both unbeaten as they get ready to play each other in San Antonio. Both have been really good of late, but somehow get left out of the conversation of contenders. The Spurs had the second-best overall record in the entire league a year ago, and the Raptors had the second-best record in the East, tied with the Cavaliers.

This will be the first real test for the Raptors, who have blown out two weaker opponents in the first two games of the season. The Raptors two games were won by an average of 23 points, the second-best point differential in the league.

Toronto is averaging 122 points, second in the NBA, and holding opponents to 97, which is 10th. DeMar DeRozan is averaging 20.5 points per game. Five more players are averaging 13-14 points.


San Antonio is again playing great defense, leading the league at holding opponents to 88 points per game. The Spurs have not been lighting up the scoreboard that much though, averaging 97 per game. The Spurs are third in rebounding at 51 per game.

LaMarcus Aldridge is averaging 26 points and 10 rebounds per game. Rudy Gay, Danny Green and DeJounte Murray are all averaging 13 points per game. The Spurs are shooting 43 percent from the field. San Antonio is also among league leaders averaging eight steals per game, and just 11 turnovers.

The Golden State Warriors (1 - 2, 1 - 1 Away) are on the road against the Dallas Mavericks (0 - 3, 0 - 2 Home) on Monday night. Golden State has had a turbulent start to the season as the Warriors have had blown games and wild ejections. Dallas is in the throes of a disorganized rebuild and it shows with their on-the-court display. Dallas will be hosting at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX.

The Dallas Mavericks are getting closer to healthy which is a good thing for their beleaguered roster. Dallas is only averaging 97 PPG on offense this season while shooting 41% from the floor as a team. Harrison Barnes (17 PPG on 33% shooting) has been the man with the ball in his hands but he just isn't getting it done well enough as of yet. Dallas is surrendering 106 PPG to opposing teams this season.


The Golden State Warriors take the court with a fully healthy roster. However, the Dubs might be without Steph Curry or Kevin Durant if one of the players ends up suspended after being ejected in their last game. Golden State is an elite offensive team that is averaging 117 PPG on 48% shooting. Golden State's struggles early on have more to do with mentality than talent and so the ship should be quickly righted. Steph Curry is leading the charge averaging 29 PPG on 47% shooting.

Milwaukee is hosting this game at the BMO Harris Bradley Center as they continue their early season push to become a dominant force out East. Charlotte is coming off of a nice win over Atlanta while Milwaukee just got a big win over Portland.

The Milwaukee Bucks know that this could be their year to ascend the East. Milwaukee is led by superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (39 PPG, 10 RPG, 5 APG). Antetokounmpo has been nothing short of an MVP caliber player to start the season and he'll have a great match up against Charlotte in this game. Charlotte will hit the hardwood having struggled on offense all season long. Ran fifth in last race, but not more than five from the lead at the wire. BEATUBYACHUBINOSE - This filly is back in a race very quick. This is a great angle - Sprinters that come back in less than 10 days after a race. A good sign of a sharp and ready racehorse. This rider and trainer have a positive return on investment when they join forces. Sub-par effort last time around the track at Penn National was due to the off-going (she finished ninth). Have to do better in this event under better track conditions.
