When: 12:00 PM ET, Saturday, November 25, 2017
Where: Michigan Stadium, Ann Arbor, Michigan

      Preview: Ohio State at Michigan
      Gracenote
      Nov 22, 2017

Eighth-ranked Ohio State looks to stay in the hunt for a College Football Playoff spot when it travels to Ann Arbor to face Michigan in one of the greatest rivalries in sports. The Buckeyes trounced Illinois 52-14 to clinch a berth in the Big Ten Championship game against No. 4 Wisconsin on Dec. 2 and hope to continue their mastery of Michigan by downing their arch rivals for the 13th time in the last 14 meetings.

"This rivalry is not a one-week deal, it's just not. … I think it's in your blood and in your DNA," Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer told reporters. "We're just extremely focused and I can't imagine many more having more respect for this rivalry than I do myself." The Wolverines are left to lick their wounds after losing quarterback Brandon Peters in the third quarter of the 24-10 setback to the Badgers. Peters was carted off with a head injury and is currently in the concussion protocol, and the Wolverines may be forced to turn to John O'Korn, who has thrown one touchdown compared to five interceptions in 2017, as they hope to salvage a disappointing season by avenging a controversial 30-27 overtime loss to the Buckeyes last year. "We put the game in the hands of the referees and that's one of the worst things you can do so we've got to make sure we don't make that same mistake this year," Michigan running back Karan Higdon told reporters. "I think everyone knows we definitely won that game but it is what it is."

TV: Noon ET, FOX. LINE: Ohio State -11.5

ABOUT OHIO STATE (9-2, 7-1 Big Ten): Senior quarterback J.T. Barrett, who was named one of three finalists for the Davey O'Brien Award presented annually to the top quarterback in college football, threw for 141 yards and two touchdowns to go along with a rushing score in limited action during the blowout win against Illinois. Mike Weber, who hails from Detroit, rushed for 108 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Fighting Illini to give him four TDs in his last two games. Linebacker Dante Booker has missed the last two games with a concussion but has been cleared to play on Saturday.

ABOUT MICHIGAN (8-3, 5-3): Higdon was limited to 20 yards on seven carries against Wisconsin after rushing for 408 yards in his previous three games. Running back Ty Isaac suffered an undisclosed injury in his first game back since sitting out the previous three with a head/neck injury while starting cornerback Lavert Hill is ready to return after missing last weekend's loss to the Badgers with a concussion. Quarterback Wilton Speight, who has missed the past seven games with a fractured vertebrae, is practicing with the team, but hasn't been given the green light to participate in contact drills.

      EXTRA POINTS

      1. Ohio State has won six of the last seven meetings in Ann Arbor.

      2. Barrett has accounted for three touchdowns or more in 10 of his 11 games this season.

      3. Michigan is ranked third nationally in total defense (261.2).

PREDICTION: Ohio State 35, Michigan 17

          Preview: Kansas at Oklahoma State
          Gracenote
          Nov 22, 2017

Oklahoma State's goals of winning a Big 12 Championship and landing a spot in the College Football Playoff evaporated with a surprising 45-40 home loss to Kansas State last week. The Cowboys, plagued by slow starts that have resulted in a disappointing 2-3 home record, will be focused on starting fast Saturday when they host Kansas in their Big 12 regular-season finale.

The Cowboys fell six spots to No. 19 in this week's College Football Playoff rankings after the loss to the Wildcats who jumped out to a 28-13 halftime lead and led 42-13 in the third quarter. Oklahoma State, which entered the game as a 19 1/2-point favorite, scored four touchdowns over a 15-minute span to give itself a chance to pull it out in the final two minutes, but quarterback Mason Rudolph then threw four straight incompletions from his own 46. "It sucks," Rudolph told newsok.com. "It's not fun. But we'll turn it around and come back focused." That doesn't spell good news for Kansas which comes into the game with a 10-game winless streak and ranks 127th nationally in scoring defense (42.1) and 111th in total defense (450.8 yards per game).

TV: Noon, ET, FS1. LINE: Oklahoma State -41

ABOUT KANSAS (1-10, 0-8 Big 12): The Jayhawks rank 11th in the nation in red-zone scoring percentage (93.5) but the problem has been getting there, getting shut out by both Iowa State and TCU and managing just a field goal in a 41-3 loss to Oklahoma last week. Both starting quarterbacks, Peyton Bender and Carter Stanley, are completing just 54 percent of their passes and have combined to throw for 12 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. Khalil Herbert leads the team in rushing (658 yards, 4 TDs) while Steven Sims Jr. paces the team in receiving (50 catches, 770 yards, 5 TDs) and junior linebacker Joe Dineen Jr. leads the defense with 123 tackles, including 84 solo stops, which leads the nation.

ABOUT OKLAHOMA STATE (8-3, 5-3): Rudolph leads the nation in passing yards (4,115) and points responsible for (246) but has been overshadowed by some other quarterback named Mayfield in his own state. His top target, senior wide receiver James Washington, leads the nation with 1,317 receiving yards on 61 receptions and has 11 touchdowns while running back Justice Hill leads the Big 12 in rushing with 1,289 yards on 229 carries and has scored 13 touchdowns. Oklahoma State's defense had 14 tackles for loss in last week's loss to Kansas State and has forced 21 turnovers this season, including four interceptions by cornerback A.J. Green which ranks second in the Big 12.

          EXTRA POINTS

          1. Washington, with 4,240 in his career, needs 174 receiving yards to catch school record holder Rashaun Woods who had 4,414 yards from 1999 to 2003.

          2. Oklahoma State's defense has forced a turnover in 25 straight games.

          3. Kansas is 3-32 in three seasons under head coach David Beaty and 1-25 in Big 12 play.

PREDICTION: Oklahoma State 59, Kansas 3

              Gracenote
              Nov 21, 2017

Connecticut looks to snap a four-game losing streak when it visits Cincinnati in the season finale for both teams Saturday. The Bearcats have lost two straight, including last week's blowout at East Carolina which ended their slim bowl hopes.

UConn was routed 39-16 by Boston College at Fenway Park in its last outing. "It's the last time they're every going to put the Connecticut uniform on," UConn coach Randy Edsall told reporters of his team's seniors. "If that doesn't give them enough incentive and enough pride to give it everything they have and prepare the right way this week, and then give it on Saturday, then they've been stealing from the university for the last five years." Cincinnati ranks last in the American Athletic Conference and 115th nationally in scoring at 20.8 points per game.
TV: Noon, ET, ESPN News. LINE: Cincinnati -5.5

ABOUT UCONN (3-8, 2-5 AAC): David Pindell, who threw for a career-high 241 yards on 14-for-33 passing with three interceptions against Boston College, will start at quarterback once again after Bryant Shirreffs was lost for the season with a concussion. The Huskies trailed 39-3 against the Eagles and rank 124th in the nation by allowing 39.4 points per game. UConn defeated Cincinnati 20-9 to even its record at 3-3 last season, but six losses followed to close out the campaign.
ABOUT CINCINNATI (3-8, 1-6): The Bearcats were throttled by the Pirates 48-20 last week, allowing 464 yards passing and watching wide receiver Trevon Brown torch them for 270 yards receiving on nine catches. The performance was a huge disappointment for first-year coach Luke Fickell, whose team had a chance to earn a bowl berth with only five wins if not enough NCAA teams qualified. “The way we handled ourselves, losing our emotions and losing our cool, is not what we work for,” Fickell told reporters. “We have some soul searching to do on the ride home and need to find a way to finish this out the right way and put it on the shoulders of those seniors."

              EXTRA POINTS
              1. Senior RB Arkeel Newsome will close out his career and ranks third all-time in all-purpose yards at UConn with 5,008.
              2. The Bearcats had won five straight in the series before dropping last year's game at Hartford.
              3. Cincinnati QB Hayden Moore has completed 55.6 percent of his passes for 2,363 yards and 18 touchdowns on the season.

              PREDICTION: Cincinnati 30, UConn 27

                  Nov 22, 2017

The task seems simple - at least in theory - for No. 16 Memphis, which hosts overmatched East Carolina on Saturday in its American Athletic Conference regular-season finale. The Tigers, who already have clinched the AAC West Division title, must defeat the Pirates to ensure that a victory over Central Florida or South Florida in the AAC championship game on Dec. 2 lands them in a New Year's Day bowl.

The highest-ranked team among non-Power 5 conference schools in the College Football Playoff rankings gets the major bowl bid. Memphis is ranked 20th while UCF is 15th and USF is unranked, so the Tigers likely would host the AAC title game if USF defeats UCF on Friday - provided it stays ahead of USF in the CFP rankings - or visit UCF since the Knights more than likely still would be ranked higher. "This team, they’ll always be remembered. That trophy will always sit on our shelves. Their picture will always be on our walls," Memphis coach Mike Norvell told reporters after last week's 66-45 victory over SMU. "But at the end of the day, this was not the ultimate goal. We still have a lot in front of us." East Carolina is coming off a 48-20 triumph over Cincinnati but will finish with a losing record for the third straight season, mostly because of the second-worst defense in the nation at 42.7 points per game allowed.

TV: Noon ET, ESPNU. LINE: Memphis -28

ABOUT EAST CAROLINA (3-8, 2-5 AAC): Junior wide receiver Trevon Brown set the school and AAC record for receiving yards in a game with 270 last week - the second-highest total this FBS season only to Hawaii's John Ursua (272 versus Massachusetts). Junior quarterback Gardner Minshew replaced senior Thomas Sirk and has thrown eight touchdown passes, including a career-high four versus Cincinnati, against two interceptions in starting the last three games. Sirk played tight end for the first time last week and made two catches for 21 yards.

ABOUT MEMPHIS (9-1, 6-1): Senior wide receiver Anthony Miller became the school's all-time leader in career receptions (217) last week after already ascending to No. 1 in receiving yards (3,196) and touchdown catches (32). Senior quarterback Riley Ferguson is tied for sixth nationally with 29 TD passes - 13 to Miller - and his 3,201 passing yards also lead the AAC while being 13th in the country. Ferguson scored three of his six rushing TDs last week and complements a solid ground game led by sophomores Darrell Henderson (923 yards, six TDs) and Patrick Taylor Jr. (564, 10), who combined for 259 yards and four scores against SMU.

                  EXTRA POINTS

                  1. A victory gives the Tigers a 7-0 home record for the first time in school history.

                  2. Miller is second nationally in receiving touchdowns this season with 13, eighth in receiving yards (1,068) and eight in receptions (75).

                  3. Memphis has a chance to break the school record of 10 wins in a season, which it set in 1938 and matched in 2014.

                      Nov 22, 2017

The battle of the Bluegrass State will be waged for the 30th time Saturday when Kentucky visits Louisville. By virtue of a 41-38 victory last season, the Wildcats ended a five-game winning streak by the Cardinals and took a 15-14 edge in the series.

This game brings together two of the most exciting players in the country in reigning Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson of Louisville and Benny Snell, Jr. of Kentucky, one of the SEC's top running backs. Jackson, who has a chance to join Ohio State's Archie Griffin (1974-75) as the only repeat winner of the Heisman, has done a number on the Wildcats in his two previous Governor's Cup games. The junior quarterback has thrown for 411 yards and three touchdowns and has run for 357 yards and four scores against Kentucky, which hasn't beaten Louisville in Lexington since 2009. The sophomore Snell didn't enjoy much success last season in his lone game against Cardinals, but has against pretty much everyone else while producing back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and a team-record 29 rushing touchdowns.

TV: Noon ET, SEC Network. LINE: Louisville -10

ABOUT LOUISVILLE (7-4): After enduring three tough losses in October, the Cardinals have righted the ship and will head into this matchup off a dominating performance against Syracuse. Everyone knows what Jackson and leading receivers Jaylen Smith and freshman Dez Fitzpatrick bring to the table, but the Cardinals will also need the defense led by Jaire Alexander and James Hearns to step up in this one. "He (Alexander) brings to the defense what Lamar brings to the offense, as far as energy," head coach Bobby Petrino told the media. "You see the way James Hearns has been playing with his ability to get after the quarterback and get the ball on the ground. I think we've made a lot of improvement."

ABOUT KENTUCKY (7-4): Snell and receiver Garrett Johnson will be critical to the success of the Wildcats now that tight end C.J. Conrad has been lost for the season because of a foot injury. The junior, who finished with 16 catches for 286 yards and four touchdowns, was the No. 2 option for quarterback Stephen Johnson, who has thrown one touchdown pass in the last five games. The Wildcats' two backup tight ends - Greg Hart and Justin Rigg - are also dealing with injuries, but coach Mark Stoops expects Hart to be available for the game.

                      EXTRA POINTS

                      1. Snell needs two rushing touchdowns to set the Kentucky single-season record, which is currently held by Moe Williams (17).

                      2. Garrett Johnson, who has 46 catches for 500 yards and two touchdowns this season, is fifth in receptions (153) and fourth in receiving yards (2,050) in school history.

                      3. After producing a bunch of blowouts over its first 21 years, the rivalry has seen the last eight games decided by an average margin of 8.9 points.

Boston College became bowl eligible last week and now has a chance to clinch a winning campaign when it visits ACC rival Syracuse on Saturday in the regular-season finale for both teams. The Eagles have won four out of five overall after a 39-16 victory over Connecticut at Fenway Park, once again riding the powerful legs of running back AJ Dillon.

The freshman ran for 200 yards on 24 carries with two touchdowns, and he enters the week 48 yards behind Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson for the ACC lead. Since their stunning upset of Clemson, the Orange have dropped four games in a row and were embarrassed by Jackson and company in a 56-10 loss to the Cardinals last Saturday. Star quarterback Eric Dungey missed his second straight game with a foot injury and the junior - who has thrown for 14 TDs and still leads Syracuse in rushing yards (595) - is not expected to get any action in the finale. "I would like to see if he could or he couldn't, but I wouldn't bet that he would (play)," coach Dino Babers told reporters.

ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGE (6-5, 3-4 ACC): The Eagles have some quarterback questions of their own after senior Darius Wade - who was starting in place of the injured Anthony Brown - was limited to 55 yards passing on 15 attempts at Fenway, although the team recognizes that the dominant ground game had plenty to do with that. "Really proud of Darius," coach Steve Addazio told reporters. "He played well, made some big plays, managed the game well, did some really good things. That was a week for him to get back and get all the reps." Freshman EJ Perry, a dual threat that should challenge Brown for playing time down the road, made his collegiate debut against UConn and is expected to share practice reps with Wade this week, according to Addazio.

ABOUT SYRACUSE (4-7, 2-5): Senior Zack Mahoney threw for 384 yards and three scores in a loss to Wake Forest on Nov. 11 but sputtered against Louisville, completing 5-of-15 passes and tossing a pair of interceptions. Redshirt freshman Rex Culpepper also threw two picks among his 19 pass attempts and Barber indicated both should see action in the finale. The defense has given up 1,461 combined yards the last two games.

                          EXTRA POINTS

                          1. Dillon needs 27 rushing yards to surpass Darren Evans (1,265 with Virginia Tech in 2008) and move into second place in ACC history among freshman.

                          2. Orange WR Steve Ishmael needs 25 receiving yards to eclipse Marvin Harrison's career record (2,728) at the school.

                          3. Syracuse leads the all-time series 31-19, including a 28-20 triumph in Chestnut Hill last year.

PREDICTION: Boston College 35, Syracuse 27

Wake Forest looks to cap off a two-week Carolina sweep when the Demon Deacons host Duke on Saturday in the final ACC contest for both teams. The Blue Devils, meanwhile, need a victory to become bowl eligible for the fifth time in the past six seasons.

Wake Forest is coming off an upset victory of then-No. 22 North Carolina State last weekend, using two late defensive stands to hold on for the win. But it's senior quarterback John Wolford who drives Wake Forest with 23 passing touchdowns on the season, three from tying Riley Skinner's single-season school record while his 316.8 total yards per game would break the record set by Skinner in 2009. Wolford will be facing a Duke defense that is allowing 20.5 points per game, fourth best in the ACC. The Blue Devils have allowed an opponent to score more than 30 points just once on the season and more than 24 points just twice.

ABOUT DUKE (5-6, 2-5 ACC): The Blue Devils defense will be challenged facing a Wake Forest team that averages 34.6 points per game. Duke lost starting safety Jeremy McDuffie, who is fourth on the team with 58 tackles and has three interceptions, to a season-ending knee injury after tearing ligaments in his right knee. The Blue Devils also expect to be without starting linebacker Ben Humphreys, who missed last week's game against Georgia Tech with a left leg injury and did not practice early in the week.

ABOUT WAKE FOREST (7-4, 4-3): The Demon Deacons have set a handful of offensive records this season on their way to a second consecutive postseason bowl berth. Wake Forest's 381 points in 11 games has already surpassed the previous mark of 362 scored in 2007. This year's team, which is the second to surpass 5,000 yards on offense in a season and needs 232 yards to set a school record, is the first in school history to rush for 2,000 yards and throw for 3,000 in the same season.

                              EXTRA POINTS

                              1. Duke WR T.J. Rahming needs 44 yards receiving to become the 10th player in school history to reach 2,000 in his career.

                              2. Wake Forest is 2-1 in games this month after going a combined 2-9 in November the previous three seasons.

                              3. The Demon Deacons rank tied for ninth in the nation and first in the ACC in red zone offense, converting 30 touchdowns and 14 field goals in 47 trips inside the 20-yard line (93.6 percent).

PREDICTION: Wake Forest 44, Duke 27
