7 Unit Play Take #511 Green Bay +2 over Cleveland State (7:00pm est):

Green Bay is the better of these two teams here and should be favored in this contest. The Phoenix added a huge transfer in Sandy Cohen five games ago and are a much better team with Cohen on the floor. Green Bay pulled off a big upset beating a very solid Oakland University team a few games and did so as 10 point underdogs in the game led as Cohen put up a double-double in the game with 17 points and 10 rebounds to go along with 3 blocks, 3 steals and 4 assists in the game. They come in off a hard fought loss in their last game but much of that was due to bad luck as they hit just 1 out of 17 three point attempts in the game. Overall Green Bay has been the much better of these two basketball programs having beaten Cleveland State 11 of the last 12 times they've faced them and finishing ahead of the each of the past 5 seasons in the Horizon League.

4 Unit Play Take #575 Tennessee Martin +6.5 over Austin Peay (7:00pm est):

Tennessee Martin added big man Jailen Gill to their starting lineup a couple of games ago and since doing so they've played two solid games covering both of those contests as underdogs (winning one of those games straight-up). UTM swept the season series last year against Austin Peay and have won 6 of the last 7 head to head match-ups against them.

3 Unit Play Take #572 Morehead State -3 over Eastern Illinois (6:00pm est):

Morehead State comes in 4-0 this year at home and 14-4 combined the last two seasons. They return home here after dropping 3 straight games all on the road but covering each one of those contests. The Eagles played well in their last game as double digits dogs at Jacksonville State but fell apart late in that contest. They will face an Eastern Illinois team here that's 0-9 away from home to start this season. The home team has covered the point spread in this series 12 of the last 14 times these two teams have played.

Take Toronto on the moneyline as my 6-Unit NHL Smash for Thursday night. This pick falls into one of my top NHL systems and the Leafs have not lost 4 straight in a row this season, so I expect a tremendous effort from them tonight. The Leafs are 4-1 in their last 5 home games when playing a team with a winning record on the road and they are 5-2 in their last 7 games against a Pacific opponent. The Sharks have won 4 of their last 5 games, however only 1 of those wins was against what I consider a quality opponent and the Leafs have dropped 3 straight so they come into this game hungry for the win tonight against a team who has had their number in the past. The Leafs have one of the best power-plays in the NHL at home converting at 23.7% with the extra-man and their penalty-kill has been solid over their last 5 games with opponents converting just 10.5% against them. The Sharks have averaged just 2.6 gpg on the road this season while the Leaf have averaged 3.2 gpg at home and the Leafs are 2-0 this season after 3 consecutive losses winning those game by 3-1 and 8-1. Play Toronto ML as we move to 27-12 the last 52 days with my NHL plays.
