3-Unit Play. Take #509 Milwaukee (+6.5) over Philadelphia (7:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 20)
I will go with the underdog in this one. Philadelphia is young and inconsistent. They are coming off their best win of the year when they won at Boston. But I think they will slip up here. The Bucks have beaten the Sixers back-to-back times and eight of the last 10. The public is all over Boston in this one but I am going to go with the books here. Milwaukee is 5-1 ATS in its last six games against Philadelphia and they are 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings overall. The road team has covered four straight in this series and I think that the Bucks will play well in this one.
3-Unit Play. Take #511 Golden State (-3.5) over Houston (8:30 p.m., Saturday, January 20)
The Warriors spend all season circling big games and because they have been so dominant in the past four years they can do that and be successful. There is absolutely no way they didn't circle this one when they saw it. Houston is challenging them in the West and they will want to show who the boss is in the conference in this primetime tip off. Houston is at home so they may be in good shape early but they wont have enough to hold off the defending champions. Take Golden State.
2-Unit Play. Take #514 Utah (-1) over L.A. Clippers (9 p.m., Saturday, January 20)
Utah stunk up the joint last night against the Knicks so this is a great bounce back spot them. They need to be more consistent if they want to improve on their 18-27 record and get back in to the playoff conversation. This is almost a must win for them and they will treat it as such.
