3-Unit Play. #569 Take Detroit (+2) over Milwaukee (7 p.m., Thursday, February 22)
Despite the Titans being pretty bad most of this year, I do like them in this spot at home. The last time we backed Detroit at home, they came up with a big 6U win for us. Here is a smaller play but one I still think they cash for us. Milwaukee has had quite a comfortable league schedule of late, playing seven of its last nine Horizon games at home. But they are 2-5 away in conference play. Detroit has this game and another at home to wrap the regular season, and I think they get both to salvage something from a disappointing campaign.
3-Unit Play. #584 Take William Mary (-7.5) over UNC Wilimington (7 p.m., Thursday, February 22)
3-Unit Play. Take UNC Wilmington/William Mary 'Under' 168.5 (7 p.m., Thursday, February 22)
Two plays here in this CAA match-up. First off, we're going back to a familar face here with William Mary. It's definitely been a more frustrating second half of the conference season for the Tribe than the first half. But at home against a poor defensive team in UNC-W, I like the chances of W&M firing on all cylinders tonight. Practicially every offensive category the Tribe do it better. That's the case here tonight as well. Lay the number with Willam Mary at home over the Seahawks. Secondly, even though both teams produce points, this is a huge number for your average College Basketball game. Even if these two hit their offensive averages, the total would fall short of this number. Wilmington has stayed 'under' in four of its five last games. And even for William Mary, they have failed to score 80 in three of their last five, and not more than 84 in any one of their last five. I just think this is too many points to assume two NCAAB teams to score on a given night. Play the 'under' between these two.
3-Unit Play. #661 Take Idaho (-5.5) over Idaho State (9 p.m., Thursday, February 22)
The rest of their league schedule matters for this Idaho team, just 1.5 games back of first place Montana who they beat this past weekend. The Vandals have won six straight and nine of their past ten. I don't think a losing Idaho State team can keep them from another win. Idaho covers this number just the same.
6-Unit Play. #620 Take Santa Clara (-4) over Loyola Marymount (10 p.m., Thursday, February 22)
The Broncos have won three straight games, and a win here on Senior Night would put Santa Clara over .500 for the first time in WCC play all year. The face a Loyola Marymount team that is just 3-13 in conference play and 8-19 overall. Santa Clara beat LMU by 16 at their place earlier this year, and I don't see anything standing in the way from another favorable result. The Broncos covered all three, and won outright, as underdogs during this three-game win streak. Here they find themselves as home favorites and it is definitely well earned. I don't think there is really much that stands in the way of what should be a comfortble Santa Clara result. They have momentum from their previous wins as well as additional motivation hosting Senior Night. LMU has been woeful most of the year and for all intensive purposes has packed it in for these last few regular season games. The Broncos come through with a comprehensive victory, winners by 14.
Best of Luck
