They have lost four in a row coming in, but all four came against four of the best teams in the East in Boston, Philadelphia (twice) and Toronto with three of those losses coming on the road. Now they get to face one of the worst teams in the East in the Brooklyn Nets, who are just 20-45 this season, including 9-25 on the road. And the Nets are in a letdown spot here after losing to the defending champion Warriors last time out. The Nets are just 1-12 in their last 13 games overall. The Hornets have gone 8-1 SU in their last nine meetings with the Nets, including a 111-96 home victory recently on February 22nd. Give me the Hornets.

NHL | Rangers vs Lightning

The Rangers are 3-13 in their last 16 games versus opponents with a winning record and coming off a bad 3-0 home loss to the Jets two days ago. I can't see the Rangers hanging in on the road against Tampa Bay with their torn-apart roster. Not only do the Lightning possess a strong talent edge, but they should have plenty of motivation to bury the Rangers, who are a real long shot to make the playoffs being seven points out of the second wild card spot with 15 games left. Tampa Bay has revenge for a 2-1 home overtime loss to the Rangers and has plenty of former Rangers on its squad. You're not going to make a living betting games like this but this one might actually be worth a pizza and a beer and to put in your exotics. Consider this, Chicago State is 3-28 and was winless in a very very bad WAC before inexplicably blowing out UMKC in their regular season finale. The Cougars only other two wins were against something called East-West University and Silver Lake. New Mexico State has dominated this conference for a while but that's not much in that this conference is so bad that they will be relegated to a 64-68 (don't call me a play-in) game or just wind up a 16-seed sacrifice. NMSU swept the season series but 37 and 11. The Aggies really should win this tournament. The game is in Vegas so I'm thinking that rather than just getting out of Dodge with a win, the Aggies will rev it up a bit like a classic car that you take out on the highway that hasn't been driven in a while. New Mexico State 93-55.
