7-Unit Play. Take #888 West Virginia (-10) over Murray State (4 p.m., Friday, March 16)
I like the Mountaineers to get a blowout here. This team came up short in the Big 12 championship. But I like them to bounce back from that loss over Kansas and get a big win here. The Mountaineers are 5-2 in their last seven games and have double-digit wins over teams like Baylor and Texas Tech. Five of their last six wins overall have been by at least 10 points. WVU's defense will be able to shut down Murray State. The Racers have one top player in Jonathan Stark. But West Virginia has one of the best defensive teams in the country and they will be able to slow him down and there are not enough other guys on this team that can score to pick up the slack. West Virginia is going to play their pressure style and I think that they will be able to wear down the Racers over 40 minutes. Murray State doesn't have enough size in the post to slow down West Virginia and I think that the Mountaineers will be able to get a lot of easy baskets. West Virginia is 4-0 ATS after a loss and they are 6-2 ATS against teams that have won more than 60 percent of their games. Lay the points with West Virginia here.
3-Unit Play. Take #885 Florida State (-1.5) over Missouri (9:50 p.m., Friday, March 16)
I will take Florida State. Missouri has lost four of their last six games, including some bad losses to teams like LSU, Mississippi and Georgia. This team is not playing well. They brought back Michael Porter Jr. from injury. But he has not played all year and is not in good shape. Porter went just 5-for-17 against Georgia and Missouri lost that one despite being a big favorite. The Tigers also suspended one of their best players in Jordan Barnett and two other players are questionable. This team is not healthy and not playing well. FSU has struggled recently. But they are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 nonconference games where Missouri is just 1-5 ATS in nonconference games. Go with the Seminoles.
3-Unit Play. Take #894 Auburn (-9) over Charleston (7 p.m., Friday, March 16)
I will go with Auburn here. A few weeks ago this was a Top 10 team. They have slid down and I think they are seeded lower than they should be. The SEC had a good day yesterday and Auburn dominated that conference. Charleston played one of the weakest schedules in the country. The only tournament team they have faced is Wichita State and they were blown out by 18 points in that game. Auburn is 7-2 ATS in their last nine games following a loss and 10-4 ATS in nonconference games. Charleston is 20-50 ATS after covering the spread in their last game. Auburn has too much talent here and should win this one in a blowout.Comment

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAYS
6 Unit Play. Take #866 Creighton PK over Kansas St (6:50p.m., Friday March 16 TNT)
Both Kansas St and Creighton come into the First Round of the NCAA Tournament struggling but tonight I see the Big East school topping the Big 12 school. Creighton lost to Providence in the Big East tournament in overtime 72-68 and they blew a halftime lead in that game. Creighton struggled with the 3-ball and the free throw line in that game but tonight I see them pushing the tempo and taking this game against Kansas St. Kansas St comes into this game dropping 3 out of 5 and their last 4 games away from home they have dropped 3 of them and those losses were by 9-points or more. Kansas St is 0-5 ATS against Big East teams and the Wildcats are 1-5 ATS when playing on a neutral site games.
3 Unit Play. Take #875 Over 136.5 Syracuse vs TCU (9:40p.m., Friday March 16 CBS)
I know the Syracuse Orange defense is really good and are holding opponents to 64.3ppg this year but this play is all on the offense of the TCU Horned Frogs. Syracuse held Arizona St to 56 points but the Frogs in their last 10 games are averaging 75.4ppg. Syracuse is 4-1 O/U following a SU win and the Orange are 19-8-1 O/U following a ATS win. TCU is 8-3 O/U when playing on a neutral site game and look for TCU to push the tempo and avoid the Orange to setup their zone defense.
4 Unit Play. Take #880 Nevada +1.5 over Texas (4:30p.m., Friday March 16 TBS)
Texas was one of those teams that was on the bubble and the Longhorns come into this game struggling losing 6 out of their last 10 games. Nevada comes into this game only losing twice in their last 9 games and both losses were against San Diego St. If the Longhorns can't slow down the offense of the Nevada Wolf Pack then this game could get ugly quickly and late this afternoon I see the Wolf Pack offense being too much for the Longhorn defense. Texas is 0-8 ATS in their last NCAA Tournament games and the Longhorns are 0-4 ATS against Mountain West teams. Nevada is 17-3-1 ATS following a SU loss and again the Wolf Pack offense will be too much to handle.Comment

Purdue senior center Isaac Haas will miss the remainder of the NCAA Tournament with a fractured right elbow he suffered in #2 Purdue's 74-48 1st-round win over #15 Cal State Fullerton today.
Haas averaged 14.9 PPG this season, 2nd-most on the team.Comment
