Kansas City Royals @ Toronto Blue Jays
This bet is basically based on the fact that we’re projecting Jamie Garcia to keep the Royals to no more than a single run in his time on the mound. In his 11-plus innings at the mound this season he’s given up just four runs, and now he gets to face a team averaging just 1.20 runs per game on the road this season. The Royals come into this one on a five-game skid but did show some life at the plate in their series against the Angels. That being said they’ve shown no-such resistance on the road, especially when they’re currently tied for last in home runs this season. While the Blue Jays offence could hurt us on their own we feel there’s far too much value here for a total that effectively needs one side to post almost seven runs on their own to cripple us. Toronto’s relief pitching has been stellar so far this season and their 2.38 ERA gives us a lot of confidence that they can close out whatever Garcia puts forth to get them started. This is a value bet that should have odds flipped based on our projections. Take the Unders at a great price here.

Cincinatti Reds @ Milwaukee Brewers
We’re not letting this one go until we get given a reason to. The Reds continue to stink up the joint and will travel to Milwaukee paying far less than they should (again). The reasons against the Brewers have nothing to do with who’s pitching; they’ve won just twice at Miller Park this season and are likely to be without leading home run hitter Eric Thames – although if Thames does get cleared these odds will drop significantly. That being said, they’re playing the Reds and this value is too good to ignore given the potential drop that could happen depending on Thames inclusion as well as the fact that without him we’re still getting slightly over given the disparity between the two teams. Cincinatti have lost eight straight and will now send in a pitcher, Luis Castillo, who is 0-2 on the year with a 7.31 ERA to the mound as they head on the road. In their seven road games this season they’re allowing 6.29 runs per game while only scoring just under three. We won’t go big this time given the situational match up, but we’ll keep riding this losing streak knowing full well that betting against the Reds will have us firmly in the positives at the end of the year.

San Antonio simply had no answer on offence to break down Golden State’s defence and they looked lost and disoriented at times on defence themselves.
That being said, Gregg Popovich is one of the smartest minds to ever grace the game of basketball and if anyone is capable of getting his side to adjust in the playoffs it’s him.
There’s a couple reasons why we can expect a different points total here. One, being that Popovich knows what adjustments need to be made after seeing how the Warriors plan to line up this series, and two, because Klay Thompson won’t be allowed to shoot 11-of-13 from the field.
While we expect the Spurs to put up a better showing defensively it’s hard to see them generating much offence against Steve Kerr’s side if they put forward a defensive effort like we saw in Game 1.
The Warriors limited their opponents to 40% shooting from the field and that’s the sort of championship level defence we’ve learnt to associate with this team.
With Steph Curry out of the line up we do see a drop in the number of possessions per game and the overall offensive efficiency from the Warriors.
While they did a good job in Game 1 we expect their total to be lower this time around and our data has them finishing around 105 points in this one. If that is the case than we’re more than happy to lean on their defence to again keep the Spurs sub-100 and feel we’re getting great value on the overall total here.
Four of the last five meetings between these sides have gone Under the total and we’re backing that trend to continue here.
