FYI!
The Supreme Court cleared the way on Monday for states to legalize sports betting,
striking down a 1992 federal law that had prohibited most states from authorizing sports betting.

Here’s our best bets for the action ahead:
Oakland Athletics @ Boston Red Sox
Sean Manaea was quite literally perfect the last time he faced the Red Sox, but we’re betting that was just an anomaly and not a trend. Prior to pitching a no-hitter last month he had struggled drastically against this Boston line up and our projections have it going back that way again in this one. Despite that no-hitter he still sports a 7.52 ERA against the Red Sox and hasn’t dealt with Mookie Betts or Xander Bogaerts particularly well in the past. Meanwhile, Rick Porcello comes into this one with a 5-0 record and 2.79 ERA to match. Despite a shaky showing against the Yankees in his last start he should be able to keep the A’s hitters in check here and his offence will certainly provide him enough to work off. We feel that Boston are slightly overpriced given we had them closer to $1.50 and so we’re happy to double down on the better team and better pitcher at better than expected odds.
Tip: Boston Red Sox @ $1.64 (Unibet) (2 units)
Colorado Rockies @ San Diego Padres
The Rockies are being way overpriced here and we’re more than happy to side with Tyler Anderson against a team he’s enjoyed pitching to in the past. After going eight games unbeaten Anderson had a horror showing against the Angels in his last start but will bounce back against a team that doesn’t boast anywhere near the same level of offensive talent. The left-hander is 1-1 with a 1.80 ERA in five career starts against the Padres and owns a 1.50 ERA against them in his two starts against them this season – both no decisions. San Diego are currently allowing 5.04 runs per game against them and while the Rockies hitters have struck out an average of 10 times a game in their last six starts, they’ll have a better time hitting against Joey Lucchesi this time around. The Rockies are 18-2 this season when leading after six innings and we feel that Anderson should do enough to hold the Padres in check to allow his offence to put them on top. This is too much value to pass up – grab the Rockies with some confidence here.
