4-Unit Play: Take 902 Rockies -140 over Mets (3:10 p.m., Thursday, June 21)4-Unit Play: I'm backing the Rockies on Thursday afternoon with Freeland over Matz. Colorado beat the Mets by a 10-8 score for the second game in a row and rookie Ryan McMahon had the big hit with a pinch-hit three-run homer in the bottom of the fifth to give the Rockies a 9-8 lead that the bullpen held onto. Kyle Freeland is 6-6 this season, but he hasn't allowed more than three runs in nine of his last 10 starts. The left-hander has a 2.93 ERA at home with a .226 opponent batting average. New York batters are 3-for-27 against Freeland and he gave up two runs on four hits in seven innings in one appearance versus the Mets this year. The Mets have lost three of Steven Matz's last four starts although he hasn't gotten much run support. However, Colorado hitters have a combined .373 batting average against Matz in 59 at-bats and the Mets are 0-4 in Matz's last four starts against Colorado, which has won six of the last seven meetings. I'm backing the Rockies on Thursday.
4-Unit Play: Take 918 Angels -150 over Blue Jays (10:05 p.m., Thursday, June 21)
I'm backing the Angels on Thursday night with Skaggs over Sanchez. The Angels took two of three from Toronto in May and now have won five of the last seven meetings and the Blue Jays are just 14-19 on the road this season. Toronto has lost seven road games in a row against left-handed starters and the Blue Jays have lost eight of their last nine road contests. Also, the Blue Jays are 4-17 their last 21 games versus southpaw starters overall. Toronto has lost nine of Aaron Sanchez's last 11 starts against teams with winning records. Sanchez is 3-3 with a 4.67 ERA on the road while Tyler Skaggs has won his last three starts and he has a sparkling 2.81 ERA on the season. Skaggs has allowed a total of one earned run with no homers his last three outings. Skaggs is 3-0 with a 0.45 ERA in June and Los Angeles has won six of its last seven home games versus right-handed starters. I'm backing the Angels on Thursday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.Comment

5-Unit Play. Take #362 Ottawa (-1.5) over Saskatchewan (7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 21)
The RedBlacks are chomping at the bit to get on the field after a week one bye (makes total sense) so they are going to come out firing in front of a thirsty home crowd. Trevor Harris proved more than serviceable last season tossing the rock around for 4,679 yards but the line was an issue so they need to be better this season and they will. Saskatchewan took down the defending Grey Cup champs last week by playing solid defense throughout all four quarters but that wont be enough in this one. Zach Collaros made his debut and looked really good but he is inconsistent at times and that will cost the Riders in this one. Take Ottawa to win this one and cover with little trouble.

The Eskimos struggled to get a win in week one so they will need to put on a better show on both ends of the field in this one. Mike Reilly picked up where he left off last season with 408 passing yards and 43 rushing yards to lead the Eskimos to victory over Winnipeg. Reilly is a veteran and has been controlling games for years so this is no surprise and Hamilton should allow him to have another great game in this one. Hamilton hung around with Calgary last week but didn't have enough to keep the Stamps out of the endzone late. Their defense is suspect at best and with the Eskimos playing at home and Reilly slinging it all over the field this could be rough one for the Ti-Cats. Hamilton should score a few points making the over the play but they wont have enough to stay with Edmonton as they move to 2-0.
7-Unit Play. Take #367 Calgary (-3.5) over Toronto (7 p.m., Saturday, June 23)
The Stampeders won their opener and covered with a late touchdown by Don Jackson so they weren't at their best in week one. Lucky for Bo Levi Mitchell and his cohorts they get an early season chance to enact some revenge on the team that snatched the Grey Cup from them last season. Toronto snuck up on the Stamps in the title game last year making it two years in a row Calgary has lost as a favorite in the Cup so the sour taste is still there without a doubt. This is going to be a great game and the fact that it is in Toronto will help the Argos to keep it close for a while but the Stampeders want this one and they should play their best game on both ends of the field and pull away in the second half for a statement victory.
