4-unit Play. #225310. Competition: World Cup. Take Germany -1(-114) over Sweden. (Saturday @ 2:00 pm est) (For this to Win, Germany must Win by 2 goals or more, If Germany Win by exactly 1 goal, this is a Push, Regulation + Injury time).
The defending Champions Germany are in a must win after losing to Mexico in their opening match 1-0. Germany is not 1-3-1 in their last five-matches including a first ever loss to Austria in their first pre-World Cup match. The loss to Mexico was Germany's ninth World Cup loss of all time, dating back to 1934, and after every loss Germany has won the next match, four times by 2 or more goals. Sweden unlike Germany won their first match 1-0 over Korea Republic and sit level with Mexico at the top of the table. Sweden are now unbeaten in their last three-matches, though the goal in their last match was Sweden's first in their last four-matches. This is Sweden's first World Cup since 2006 where they qualified for the knockout stage only to loss 2-0 to Germany who finished in third place. This is a big physical Sweden side, but they face a Germany side who is extremely skillful and motivated. Germany is 10-8-4 against Sweden winning the last five of seven, Germany's last loss came in a 1942 Friendly. These two sides do like to score against each other as well, with the last two matches (2014 World Cup qualifiers) with Germany scoring 9 goals and Sweden scoring 7 goals.
7-Unit Play. #903. Take Philadelphia Phillies -110 over Washington Nationals (Saturday @ 4:05pm est)
Nice winner on the Dodgers yesterday and in fact, nice 4-1 run in the MLB. We will break +$5000 on the year with a win today and we also have a 7* Soccer Selection that goes off Sunday Morning @ 11am (several soccer selections go off today, we are on a 3-1 run after Belgium -1.5 (+110) easily gets it done over Tunisia 4-1. Per this selection, the line movement is going away from us but we never mind, it went away from us yesterday with the Dodgers too and it won 5-2. So, don't look at line movent but rather the motivation behind the players to do well. Nola comes off one of his worst starts of the year lasting around 4 innings and getting beat up by Milwaukee on the road which happens given that Milwaukee is a potent offense. Nola had 10 strikeouts in the game before and simply had a let down. He had 4 straight quality starts before that and as he comes off a start where he gave up 1 homerun (he usually does not give up a homerun) and a season high 4 walks, look for him to be highly motivated to do well today as he faces a young pitcher (who was also drafted in the same 1st round as him just a few spots below in Fedde). Fedde has given up a homerun in 4 of his 5 starts and has given up 44 hits and 12 walks this year in about 31 innings, so that's about 56 baserunners in about 31 innings. We'll take the Phillies who are playing well right now coming into this game to likely do well again today.
Philadelphia at Washington. The Phillies are -110 as of 10:55 am eastern as I put my site live. Both scheduled starters must go or the play is scratched. For Philadelphia it's Aaron Nola. For Washington it's Erick Fedde.
4 Units - #928 LA Angels / #927 Toronto (OVER 8.5) 6/23 *9 EST
I like this number on LA and Toronto, LA are winners of back to back games against Toronto at home, and of course having Mike Trout around is not a bad thing. Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman with a 7.71 ERA on the season and 0-5 record and opponents' batting average against him on the road is .369 so far. He is backed by a bullpen with a 6.86 ERA their last 5 games. The score was 2-1 last night, I think there will be a lot more scoring tonight and the Angels starter Barria will have the run support and may need because his last start he was torched for 6 runs in 4 innings and has had back to back poor outings and a 4.80 ERA his last 3 outings.
Play 4 Units on the OVER 8.5 Runs
2 Units - SAME GAME - #928 LA Angels (-130) over Toronto
Toronto 1-10 their last 11 road games and LA 7-1 their last 8 home games. Opposite ends of the spectrum there, not to mention the Angels will have the bats tonight behind a bad starter and a weak bullpen, and I expect them to taker this game.
