Streaking and Slumping Starting Pitchers
Streaking: Dallas Keuchel, Houston Astros (7-8, 3.75 ERA, $-240)
Keuchel has been somewhat of the forgotten man in the Astros rotation, thanks to a slow start and some other-worldly performances by his teammates. But Houston’s original ace is getting back on track.
The former Cy Young Award winner is 3-0 in his last three starts with a 1.35 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP. He has allowed two or fewer runs in five of his last six starts and has allowed zero in three of those contests.
Keuchel and the Astros are slight -118 road faves tonight in Anaheim against the Angels.
Slumping: Dylan Bundy, Baltimore Orioles (6-9, 4.35 ERA, $-464)
Bundy has been one of the lone bright spots of what has been a dismal season in Baltimore, but even he is going through a rough patch.
The right-hander has a bloated 7.90 ERA and a 2.05 WHIP, while surrendering a .418 OBP to opponents over his last three starts.
Bundy and the Orioles are currently +141 road dogs tonight in Toronto versus the Blue Jays.
