The CFL comp play is on Edmonton at 10:00 eastern. The Eskimos have won and covered the last 4 vs British Columbia and 7 of 8 vs West conference teams. Edmonton has covered 6 of the last 8 on the road and 7 of 9 off a win. The Lions are 0-7 ats in week 9 games and have failed to cover 10 of 14 vs winning teams. 3-unit Play. #9045 (5dimes) PGA Championship. Take PGA Champ winner from USA (-155). (Thursday @ 8:39 am est) (For this to Win, the PGA Championship winner must be from the USA).
Tournament favorites include Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler, Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas, and Dustin Johnson. The last two winners, Justin Thomas and Jimmy Walker are both from the USA. Since 1980, the last year Jack Nicklaus on this event, only 12 times has a non-Americans won this event in 37 seasons. There is not much known about Bellerive Country Club, except that this is a big course with big fairways and big greens. This will be forgiving for the big hitters who include many of the names above. Jordan Spieth needs a win this weekend to complete the career grand slam. Tiger Woods is looking for his third win in this event and to prove he's back, and Justin Thomas after winning by 4 strokes last week is a solid pick to repeat. Brooks Koepka though he struggled at the British, is dangerous and his close friend Dustin Johnson is looking for his first major of the season. We like the USA to step it up this weekend having already won two of the three majors and the two played in the USA.

6-unit Play. #7016 (5dimes) PGA Championship. Take Justin Thomas over Rory McIlroy (-120). (Thursday @ 9:23 am est) (For this to Win, Justin Thomas must finish 1 stroke or better over Rory McIlroy).
Coming on the heels of a four stroke win last weekend, JT picked up win number three this season and is currently ranked 2ndin the FedEx Cup standing just over 100 points behind Dustin Johnson. Thomas has seven Top Ten finishes this season and is now only two wins behind his best season, last year when he won five events. Thomas is ranked 2ndin Eagles, 3rdin Scoring, 5thin Birdies, and 9thin Driving Distance. The one weak point in Thomas' game is Driving Accuracy, ranking 148th, but Thomas ranks 33rdin Greens in Regulation. This season Thomas made the Cut in the first two Majors, finishing T17 at The Masters and T25 at the U.S. Open, but missed the Cut at The British Open after weather rolled in on Friday shooting 77. This was only Thomas' second missed Cut and we like for the young gun to enjoy playing this big course and seeing how far he can hit it. Last week Thomas crushed a drive Sunday on 18 394 yards on this 464 yard par four. Rory McIlroy has had a strong season as well, currently the #5 ranked player in the World and #17 in the FedEx Cup. Rory finished T6 last week at the WGC-Bridgestone after wrapping up a great week of shooting 65-67-67 with a 73. Rory has also had a great four week run since missing the Cut at the U.S. Open finishing T12 at the Travelers, T6 at the CVS Health Charity Classis, and T2 at the British Open. Rory has a total of five Top Ten finishes with one win at the Arnold Palmer. Rory is the longest hitter on average this season driving the ball 319.8 yard and like Thomas is not very accurate off the tee ranked 173 in Driving Accuracy, but unlike Thomas is ranked 151stin Greens in Regulation. This has not been a problem for Rory who still ranks 6thin Scoring Average. Last season Rory finished T22 at this event. We are picking what should be a close run to the finish, but after Thomas' lights out final round last week, we will ride Thomas this weekend.
