8* Vegas +3.5
2* LA/ATL over 154
8-Unit Play. #618. Take Las Vegas +3.5 over Minnesota (Thursday @ 10:05pm est)
If you are a Bill Lambeer coached team, wouldn't you be fired up and excited to play this game? The WNBA came down a bit hard on the Aces by asking them to forefit their game in which they had a horrendous flight schedule and the WNBA frankly was in the wrong. You make these ladies play a brutal shortened schedule, there was a flight delay of epic proportions and you the team voted to not play that game as they basically arrived the hour of gametime and Lambeer decided to support his team. The WNBA reviewed the incident and decided to go ahead and asked them to forefit the contest - which could cost them the playoffs. But, here we are as the Aces faced arguably the hottest team in the league in the Dream and took their frustration out on them having a late lead before losing. You will see an angry and motivated team today as this team is 1-1 against the Lynx this year and this team is absolutely furious coming in. They are still in the playoff hunt as bear in mind they are 2 games back from Dallas who might very well lose all 5 of their remaining games (1 of which is against Las Vegas). Vegas is back home. Vegas is angry. Minnesota had lost several games leading into this game and come off a huge win against Chicago which they had revenge but they had 2 key players out for that game who might or might not play here. This is not the same Minnesota team from years' past which is why they have lost 13 games this year and with a hungry Vegas team who has to win this game, and the fact they want to send a message to the league and otherwise, look for Vegas to show up big here who scores an average of 8 points more per game anyway in general. Minnesota's one problem this year has been their trouble scoring and how much can this team rely on Maya Moore for everything. Vegas has balanced scoring from top to bottom and look for Vegas to likely win this game Outright today. The Lynx are 1-4 ATS on a day of rest and 1-5 ATS following a straight up win. Aces play with a lot of heart today and as if their season is on the line - as it is.
2-Unit Play. #615. Take Over 154 Los Angeles vs. Atlanta (Thursday @ 7:05pm est)
There will be no interior presence today of sorts with Angel hurt today as the stalwart long-term veteran for the Dream was injured in likely a hyperextension in their last game against Vegas. With no Angel, look for Atlanta to be more of a perimeter shooting team with the likes of Tiffany Hayes taking quite a bit of load here and also look for LA to be sharper early on after coming out sluggish against New York. Look for the pace to be relatively faced for LA who is 5-1 to the Over on the road (they play more unders at home) and the Over is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Atlanta as well.

Bears +1 over Bengals
The Bengals have a veteran coach in Marvin Lewis while the Bears have a first year head coach. In the regular season this means a lot, but in the preseason wisdom makes coaches timid because they have witnessed firsthand the season ending injuries in meaningless play. Last week the Bears started their 2nd and 3rd string QB’s for a good amount of time. Starter Mitchell Trubisky will get a few snaps and then they will go right to the backups. I always favor a team that has one game under their belt already. The cob webs are out of the Bears as they actually hit and got hit by players other than their teammates in practice. The Bengals are going to struggle early on this season with their offensive line. I don’t see a bunch of backups and a line that is not established yet having the success needed to put a lot of points on the board. With all of this being said….it’s just preseason. Take the Bears.
