8-Unit Future. Take Over 7 Wins for Florida Gators in the 2018 Season. (WHEN WE RELEASED IT WAS AT 7 WINS, NOW IT IS AT 8 WINS, WE STILL LIKE THIS PLAY AS WE HAVE FLORIDA AT 9 WINS THIS YEAR)
Florida is going to be much, much better this year. With Mullen returning to his stomping grounds after the old AD Foley left and with him leaving, Florida paved the way for Mullen to come back to the Gators and take over a program that is primed for a huge year. Remember, Mullen knows Florida and Florida recruiting very well and he is an elite coach. He used to have Mississippi State #1 in the Nation for a week if you remember with Dak Prescott - and he did that with Mississippi State! Imagine what he can do with the rich crop of talent in Florida as well as the facilities in Florida. This is a guy that is an elite offensive mind and he gets great speed to work with here and he left a program with 16 returning starters in Mississippi State which was primed to be a 10 win team but he decided to leave because he knows how good Florida can be and that he can fight for a National Championship in Florida. Remember, Florida will be an elite offense this year and their strength is their defense with returning starters on the outside which works really well for an offensive minded coach like Mullen. Florida will beat Charleston Southern, Kentucky, Colorado State, Tennessee, LSU, maybe Miss State (he faces his former team), Vanderbilt, likey lose to Georgia this year, but beat Missouri, South Carolina, Idaho and have a 50/50 dog fight against Florida State. We have possibly as high as 9 wins this year with potential losses to Miss State, Georgia and FSU and even the Miss State and FSU games they can be highly competitive in. Who is to say this team can't run the table except for the Georgia game. Mullen will be SEC Coach of the Year possibly (along with Joe Moorehead his successor at Mississiippi State) and this sets up very well for him and his team to do well as Florida comes back to prominence in a very fast rebuild.
4-Unit Future. Take Under 5 Wins for Vanderbilt in the 2018 Season.
Note, that Vanderbilt snuck up on some teams last year with winning some big games such as their huge wins against Kansas State and Tennessee to name just a few. This team even had a big win against Western Kentucky sandwiched in as well but things will be a little different this year. For starters, they have a brutal non-conference schedule in the sense that they will have to face Notre Dame this year. This won't be like Kansas State who can't score and they will face a Notre Dame team who would love to thump an SEC team after losing to Georgia recently at home. Note, they play MTSU again this year who will be seeking revenge and it's an in-state type of rivalry game too so they will be up for that game in a big way. Plus, they face a Nevada team who won 3 games last year (their lowest win total since 2001) and under their 2nd year coach will have a decent shot at upsetting Vandy on the road this year. Then, this team faces South Carolina after the Notre Dame road game, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee - all of which games they can lose. They will beat Tennessee State, but imagine having to face a Tennessee team with revenge, facing a Missouri and Ole Miss team who can score at great ease, so that only leaves the possbility of beating Kentucky (who always gets up to face Vanderbilt) and possibly beating Arkansas. Lookf or Vanderiblt to struggle this year after a very fast start last year and we like them likely going Under the Win Total this year.
3-Unit Play. #193. Take Under 49 Washington vs. Auburn (Saturday @ 3:30pm est)
Lot of heavy monye has come in on Washington given the opening line of -3 for Auburn and now the line has steadily gone down as money continues to come in on Washington despite the public favoring Auburn. We like the total here though. Note, these two teams have never met and Chris Peterson is a brilliant defensive mind. He is a stud and all of a sudden this team is ranked #6 in the nation and the strength of this team is their fabulous running game behind Myles Gaskin and a very strong and disciplined offensive line. They have to replace Pettis who is a high quality Wide receiver so they wil rely heavily on their running game and keeping the potent Auburn offense off the field. Peterson does not want Auburn and their endless variations of plays to be displayed on the field for too many plays or too long and the best way to do that is to drain the clock and sustain long drives. Kevin Steele of Auburn is a great Defensive coordaintor who has to deal with the likes of Alabama year after year and the Tigers's strength is that they return 4 Ddefensive Line starters and Auburn was also a top 10 in scoring defense last year as well. Look for this game to likely go Under.
6-Unit Play. #201. Take West Virginia -10 over Tennessee (Saturday @ 3:30pm est) (You can find -9.5 at Westgate and MGM)
West Virginia had 3 straight ugly losses to end the year last year and they will wan to get back on track here. This team was beat by Utah by a score of 14-30, beat by Oklahoma 31-59 before that and lost to Texas 14-28 before that. Obviously losing Will Grier impacted this team in a big way but now they have the likely 1st round pick back and he brings back with him a grat offensive line that returns 4 of 5 starters which any runningback can run through and also returns 4 of 5 his top receivers. Tennesee finally settled on a coach in Pruitt and he is a defensive minded coach but this is a West Virginia team that scored with ease against some of the best minds in the Big12 so they likely do well against a Tennessee team that is just starting to stock up talent and will take some time to get used to Pruitt. West Virignia wants to make a statement against a SEC East team and what better way than to blow them out from the get-go and put the pedal to the metal here. Look for West Virginia to start fast and not let up and as Tennessee likely plays both quarterbacks here, look for West Virginia to pick up where Grier left off before his injury.
3-Unit Play. #213. Take Over 62 Louisville vs. Alabama (Saturday @ 8pm est)
Bobby Petrino talked about how you have to believe you can beat a team for you to actually beat a team. He is not scared of Alabama as he has faced them many times when he was with Arkansas. This team is of course young that he has but he will have them believing that they can do some damage here against Alabama. Don't underestimate Petriono. He is a great X's and O's coach and though he is a ornery fella', he is good at coaching Football and he will have his team ready with countless wrinkles. He will have all sorts of motion here against Alabama and they will score a decent number of points here against Bama'. Plus, Bama will play both quarterbacks here because they will end up blowing out Louisville so why not play both quarterbacks and run up the score a little bit as well. We have this game something to the tune of 52-21 as this game likely goes over the posted total here. Alabama is out to prove they score points and this is the game where it all starts for them.
