On Monday Night Football, when all the lights are out, we like the Redskins to hang tough here with Adrian Peterson leading the way and showcasing that he's still got it. This is a Washington team that has big revenge on its mind after losing to these Saints last year 31-34 in overtime. This is a Washington team that is coming off a bye, rested, just throttled the Packers at home and quietly sports the 3rd best defense in the league (didn't know that did you?). This team is total old school. This team is 5th in rushing yards, will drain that clock and keep you off the field (one of the few teams that could give the Chiefs trouble along with the Titans - we'll see about the Jags this week) and therefore, we like the Redskins to hang tough by grinding out a strong running game keeping New Orleans off the field and the Saints defense who has lacked consistency all year to have a let down after a good performance as they usually do. Remember, the Saints Defense is 24th in overall defense and 29th in points allowed.

I like the underdog in this one. I am calling for the upset here. Washington is coming off its bye week. They have had two weeks to prepare for this game. I think they will have a strong game plan. The Saints have won three straight games. But one of the wins came in overtime and the other was by just three points at home against the Browns. Washington always plays the Saints tough. They are 4-0 ATS in their last four meetings in New Orleans and 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings overall. The Saints defense has been struggling. They are No. 24 in total yards and No. 29 in points allowed giving up 30.2 points per game. Washington's defense is No. 3 in total yards and No. 2 in points allowed. They have been tough all year. Washington is 9-4 ATS in its last 13 games against teams with a winning record and they are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against teams from the NFC. The Saints are just 1-5 ATS in their last six games on Monday Night Football. New Orleans is also just 1-4 ATS in its last five home games. Take the points in this game.

I know it is crazy to bet against the Saints in their own stadium. Especially in prime time. But the Saints are actually just 1-5 ATS in their last six Monday Night Football games. I am also a little higher on Washington than most people are. They were my highest NFL futures play and I think they should be 3-0 right now. I think this team could be a sleeper in the NFC East. They have had two weeks to prepare for this game and to get healthy. They have been outstanding defensively and I think that they will be able to pound the ball on the ground against just a bad Saints defense. If they can keep the Saints offense off the field then I absolutely think that Washington has a chance to keep this game close or score an upset.
