Really like the Buffaloes to lay it on the Bulldogs and easily cover this spread. This will be the season-opener for Colorado, who I think is flying under the radar in the Pac-12. Buffs get back All-Pac-12 freshman point guard McKinley Wright IV, who broke Chauncey Billups' freshman assist record, while also showing he can score in the clutch.
While they did lose big 7-footer Dallas Walton, there's a lot of hype around redshirt freshman Evan Battey and some other nice additions like JUCO All-American Shane Gatling and Mizzu transfer Namon Wright.
Drake was one of the big surprises in the Missouri Valley last year, as they T-3rd in doubled their win output from the previous year. It all came in the first year under head coach Niko Medved, but he bolted for Colorado State and left new head coach Darian DeVries to take over a team that lost 5 of their top 6 scorers and only returned 2 guys who scored a point last year.
Hard to imagine a Bulldogs team with such little experience being able to keep this game respectable on the road in Boulder. Look for the Buffaloes to jump out early and never look back. Take Colorado!

The Tennessee Vols have all 5 starters back from a team that went 26-9 last season and made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. It’s no surprise that they are currently the No. 5 team in the country with all they have back. And they should make easy work of a Georgia Tech team tonight that returns just two starters from a team that went 13-19 last season. They lost Josh Okogie, who left early for the NBA, and now have no proven scorers on the roster. They’ll be hard-pressed to hang with this loaded Tennessee team tonight on the road. The Vols are 6-1 ATS in their last seven vs. ACC teams. Give me Tennessee.

After opening the season 9-1, the Denver Nuggets have suffered three straight heartbreaking losses to fall to 9-4. They lost by 2 at Memphis, lost by 2 to Brooklyn, and blew a late lead in the last few minutes to lose by 7 to Milwaukee. It’s safe to say they will be highly motivated for a win tonight.
“This is our first little bit of adversity, so we have to respond,” forward Mason Plumlee said after Sunday’s loss. “We have to come out and play really well in our next home game.” I expect the Nuggets to follow suit tonight on Plumlee’s comments.
The Houston Rockets have been overvalued all season. They are just 5-7 SU & 4-8 ATS on the year. They are going through some turmoil right now with the Carmelo Anthony situation, and they are also dealing with some injuries. They will no longer have Anthony, and PJ Tucker and Gerald Green are questionable tonight. They just don’t have very many good players surrounding James Harden, Chris Paul and Clint Cappela anymore.
The Rockets are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning record, including 1-7 ATS in their last eight games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. The Nuggets are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Bet the Nuggets Tuesday.
