The New England Patriots will look to advance to the AFC Championship Game for the eighth year in a row when they take on the Los Angeles Chargers at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA on Sunday afternoon. The Patriots have posted a 6-1 ATS record in their last seven Divisional Round games and they have gone an excellent 13-3 ATS in their last sixteen games following a straight up win by fourteen points or more. They have also covered the number in 18 of their last 26 games where they faced a team with a winning record and they are an impressive 37-17 ATS in their last 54 games overall. The Chargers, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here on Sunday as they have gone just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a game where they allowed less than 150 yards though the air and they have failed to cover the number in six of their last eight off a game where they allowed less than 250 total yards. Throw in the fact that the Pats are also a lights out 38-16-2 ATS in their last 56 home games and that they are a perfect 4-0 ATS in their last four head to head meetings with the Chargers and we're going to lay the points with them here to get the home win and cover in Foxborough on Sunday afternoon.

The Philadelphia Eagles will look for their for their fifth win in a row along with their seventh in their last eight games when they hit the road to take on the New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, LA on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles have posted a perfect 4-0 ATS record in their last four playoff games and they have that same perfect 4-0 ATS record in their last four games overall. They have also covered the number in five of their last seven road games and they are an impressive 7-2 ATS in their last nine playoff road contests. The Saints, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here on Sunday as they ended their season going 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. Throw in the fact that the Eagles are playing with a bit of revenge after getting blown out by the Saints in Week 11, that they are playing with some of the same Nick Foles magic that we saw last year in the playoffs and that they are 13-6 ATS in their last nineteen games following an ATS win and we're going to take the points with them here in a game that we have a bit closer than the odds makers do in New Orleans on Sunday afternoon.
As for the total, we expect the Eagles to try and slow the pace with what has been a good running game over the past six or so weeks. They know they don't want to get into a shootout with the Saints because they probably don't have the horses to keep up with them. As for the Saints, they were an offensive machine in the beginning of the year but they averaged just 299 YPG over their last six games of the season. Throw in the fact that the Saints are also 5-2 to the under in their last seven games overall while the Eagles have gone 11-5-1 to the under in their last seventeen playoff games and that's where we'll have our play as we expect both teams to play well on the defensive side of the ball in New Orleans on Sunday afternoon.

There’s a reason that the Saints destroyed the Eagles week’s ago. So here’s what we have. The public screaming for revenge. The public getting on the Nick Foles bandwagon. The public remembering last season and want it to happen again. The public living a “feels good” storyline. But the Oddsmakers are not buying it. They opened the line high and the public fell all over it and are betting the Eagles causing the pointspread to fall in our favor. The sportsbooks actually need the Saints this week. Almost unheard of for them to need a popular home favorite. Look for Brees and company to be fresh and a ton of touchdowns from him.
