I'm backing Fresno State on Saturday. In order for me to rate a play 6* I must have a side that's at least 3 points off my power rating compared to the line and that's the case in this one as I make Fresno the favorite. Fresno has had a week to get over their loss to Nevada, while Boise came from behind, gained a lead, only to lose late on a Nevada game-winning trey. The Broncos spoke beforehand how much that game meant to them and they just missed. Fresno knows how to win on the conference road, has won 10 of their last 12 games overall, and are getting big-time contributions from Braxton Huggins. And while Boise takes over 40% of their overall shots at home from the 3-point line and make just 30%, the Bulldogs have nailed nearly 40% of their treys on the season, averaging over 11 made 3's on the road this season. Fresno is the better defensive team and are better at hanging onto the basketball as Boise is in negative assists/turnovers territory. I expect Fresno to cover their 5th straight road game. I'm backing Fresno State on Saturday.
