Atlanta is a tired team right now playing its 7th consecutive road game. The Wizards are 10-2 ATS in home games after going over the total in their previous game. Washington has won two of its three meetings with Atlanta this season by 14 points on the road and by 16 at home. The Hawks are 0-5 ATS in their last five games off an ATS win. My 1* Free Play is on the Detroit Pistons (7:00 EST).
I believe the “hungrier” team will at the very least, keep this one competitive until the final moments.
After its 107-106 road win in Minnesota, I think that Denver comes out flat here facing its lowly non-conference opponent on the road.
The Pistons on the other hand collapsed in a 111-101 loss at home to the Clippers on Saturday. Denver took both meetings between the clubs last year, but as stated off the top, I think that Detroit comes into this one as the much more motivated side, while everything points to this being a “trap” for the surging Nuggets.
Would anyone fault Denver for having a bit of a letdown here either? It’s won six straight! If the Nuggets have had one clear achilles heel this season as well it’s been their play on the road where they’re just 10-15 ATS away from friendly confines.
In a contest which I envision coming down to whichever of these team’s has its hands on the ball last, I’m going to recommend grabbing the points.

This is a pretty short number to lay with the Denver Nuggets given how well they are playing right now. The Nuggets are 16-4 SU in their last 20 games overall and have won six straight. They are cementing themselves as one of the best teams in the Western Conference.
The Pistons are going the other direction. They have gone 2-5 SU & 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall with their only wins coming against the Mavs and Pelicans. They have lost to the Clippers, Bucks, Mavs, Wizards and Kings during this stretch with three of those losses by double-digits.
The Nuggets won both meetings with the Pistons last season. They won by 19 on the road and by 7 at home. And the Nuggets have the best team they’ve had in years and should be able to cover this short number tonight against a Pistons team that just doesn’t have much talent outside Blake Griffin.
Denver is 5-0 ATS in its last five vs. Eastern Conference opponents. Detroit is 0-4 ATS in its last four home games. The Pistons are 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning record. The road team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. Detroit is 1-11 ATS vs. good rebounding teams who are +3 or more boards per game this season. Bet the Nuggets Monday.

I like the value we are getting here with Oklahoma as a home dog. The Sooners have stumbled following their 11-1 start and are just 3-6 in league play. While they have clearly underachieved in league play, 5 of their 6 conference losses are against Kansas, Texas Tech, Kansas State, Texas and Baylor.
Iowa State is a quality team and come in having won 3 straight, but I'm not convinced this team should be favored on the road against a team like Oklahoma. The Sooners are 8-2 SU and 7-3 ATS at home this season. They have won 12 of the last 14 home games against the Cyclones, including a 81-60 victory last year.
I think we get a big time effort here from Oklahoma, as they really need this game to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive. Sooners are 25-12 ATS last 37 at home off back-to-back conference losses and the Cyclones are 6-18 ATS last 24 as a road favorite of 3-points or less. Take Oklahoma!

My money is on the Sooners to cash in an easy cover here. I think the books have the wrong team favored and if anything this should be a pick'em. Oklahoma is 8-2 at home this season and it's no secret that Iowa State is a team that plays much better at home than on the road. I think we could see the Cyclones struggle here on the road playing on just 1-day of rest. ISU also off a bad shooting performance at home against Texas and Sooners have came out and said they need to get back to playing better defense. Bet Oklahoma +3!

I'll take my chances here with the Suns as a near double-digit home dog. I just really think this is a flat spot for the Rockets. Phoenix is one of the worst teams in the league and have lost 10 straight. Hard for Houston to get excited about playing a team like this. On top of that, they are playing their 3rd road game in 4 nights, as they had to pull off the difficult back-to-back at Denver and Utah on Friday and Saturday. Keep in mind we have recently seen the Rockets win by just 4-points at New York and lose outright at Orlando. Houston is also 2-10 ATS last 12 road games after playing a road game and 5-15 ATS last 20 on the road after playing their previous two on the road. Give me the Suns +8.5!
