Nebraska was very weak through the back half of their schedule finishing in second to last place in the Big Ten with a mark of 16-15 overall and 6-14 in conference. Nebraska snapped out of their tough 4 game losing streak in their last outing getting past the sliding Iowa Hawkeyes by a final of 93-91. Rutgers has actually been a respectable team in the Big Ten this year which is a great step in the right direction for this program. Earlier in conference Rutgers got past Nebraska at home by a final of 76-69 and that was back when the Huskers still had Copeland in the lineup. We like what Rutgers has shown over the past couple weeks of action coming through against Minnesota and Iowa, along with a near miss against the surging Nittany Lions. Rutgers already beat Nebraska this season and that was when the Huskers were at a much stronger point in their trajectory. Rutgers has been overlooked through the course of Big Ten play, but this is the Scarlet Knights’ chance to make some noise. We like Rutgers to come through and cover.
