Most are going to take the short price on Seattle, as the Mariners own the best record in the big leagues at 9-2 and the Royals come in having lost 6 straight. I just think the value here is with the home dog.
Kansas City will start Homer Bailey, who had a solid first outing of 2019, striking out 8 and giving up just 3 runs over 5 innings. My money is on him outdueling veteran Felix Hernandez, who many feel is only in the Mariners starting rotation because of his name and resume.
Hernandez was decent in his first start, but that was at home. He was awful in spring training and finished up 2018 with a 8-14 record to go with a 5.55 ERA and 1.40 WHIP. He also had a 6.97 ERA in 14 appearances on the road.
Seattle is just 2-9 against the money line in his last 11 starts and are a mere 4-10 in their last 14 as a team in road games against a team with a losing home record. Despite a 2-3 record at home in 2019, Royals are still 17-8 in their last 25 at Kauffman Stadium. Take Kansas City!

The Angels bounced back nicely from a poor start on the road this season by winning their final three games of the series against Texas, holding them to a combined 4 runs in the three games in the process.
I expect the Angels to win their fourth straight games tonight while getting another gem out of starter Trevor Cahill. This guy has been one of the more underrated starters in the big leagues for years. Cahill has posted a 3.75 ERA and 0.833 WHIP in two tough road starts this season at Oakland and at Seattle. He has a 0.00 ERA and 0.800 WHIP in one career start against Milwaukee.
The Brewers had the luxury of playing seven of their first 10 games at home, and their three road games came against the one-win Reds who have been the worst team in baseball to this point. They are coming off a huge series win over the Rival Cubs and this is likely a letdown spot for them. Tonight’s starter in Jhoulys Chacin is no better than an average starter in this league.
The Angels are 61-27 in their last 88 vs. NL teams scoring 4.5 or more runs per game. The Brewers are 25-51 in their last 76 interleague road games vs. a right-handed starter. Los Angeles is 9-2 in its last 11 home games. The Angels are 17-8 in their last 25 interleague home games. Bet the Angels Monday.
