#9 OUT LATE (ML=10/1)
#10 AFFAIRE SECRETE (ML=4/1)
OUT LATE - In the last race, finished fifth on a track listed as good at Delta Downs. Expect better in this field. Ran last out against tougher competition at Delta Downs. The move to a lower level should suit her well. AFFAIRE SECRETE - Faced tougher last out at Fair Grounds. Based on class ratings, this is a weaker field, so I will put this horse on my list of choice plays. Running 1 mile on the grass, you've have to look at horse's turf figures. This one has the tops in the bunch. A repeat of that recent race on Mar 14th where she registered a speed rating of 63 looks strong enough to prove victorious in this contest.
Vulnerable Contenders: #5 SUNDEREYA (ML=5/2), #12 LADY FITZGERALD (ML=6/1), #7 TIZ GOOD (ML=6/1),
SUNDEREYA - Just can't invest in this less than sharp equine. Didn't show me anything last time around the track or on March 10th. This mount ran a disappointing speed rating last out. She shouldn't run much better and will likely get beat in today's event running that figure. LADY FITZGERALD - You always believe this animal has a shot to win, but she comes up short often. TIZ GOOD - Hasn't been getting close at all of late. This runner ran a quite unimpressive rating last out. She shouldn't show signs of improvement and will probably lose today running that figure.
STRAIGHT WAGERS:
#9 OUT LATE is going to be the play if we are getting 3/1 or better

The Walker Group Picks
# 7 MY GIRL ROCKET 3/1
# 3 CHAOS 10/1
# 8 MISS HATTIE 12/1
I've got to go with MY GIRL ROCKET. She has posted solid figures under today's conditions and should fare well against this group of horses. Looks strong against this field and will most likely be one of the early speedsters. Put up a reliable Equibase speed fig in the latest race. Can run another good one in this race. CHAOS - With a strong 54 average speed figure at the distance, seems well suited for today's outing. MISS HATTIE - Overall the speed figures of this pony look competitive in this race. Has a sharp shot in this race if you like back class.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES
The Walker Group Picks
# 1 WASHITA PRINCESS 2/1
# 3 SHIP SHAPE MISS 7/2
# 2 NO SAINT SISTER 12/1
I give the nod to WASHITA PRINCESS here. Bravo has her trained soundly to break sharply out of the starting gate. Have to examine solely on class, with some of the best class numbers of this group. Conditioner has sharp win rate (23 percent) at this distance and surface. SHIP SHAPE MISS - Could beat this group given the 74 speed fig earned in her last outing. NO SAINT SISTER - Going in a dirt sprint race gives this filly a strong shot. When a trainer brings any pony back this quickly it is a positive sign.
Mountaineer Park - Race #7 - Post: 9:12pm - Maiden Special - 6.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $15,500 Class Rating: 60
Rating: Golden DollarGolden DollarGolden DollarGolden Dollar
#4 ARISKA (ML=5/2)
ARISKA - This filly notched a good speed rating of 57 in her last contest. That rating should be good enough to win this time. Taking a trip down the class scale; has the ability to make her presence felt. Going on Lasix for the first time. While a typical handicapping angle, it's still quite useful when analyzing a race.
Vulnerable Contenders: #2 MOSCOW RIVER (ML=1/1), #1 VEITY (ML=3/1), #5 GOFAR KRISTA (ML=8/1),
MOSCOW RIVER - This filly hasn't had any in the money results in short distance races in the last couple of months. I don't normally play a morning-line choice that hasn't been to the track in the last 3 weeks. Doubtful that the speed figure she garnered on Apr 12th will be good enough in this event. VEITY - When looking at today's class rating, she will have to earn a better speed fig than in the last race to compete in this dirt sprint. GOFAR KRISTA - Would have to get much more than the M/L odds of 8/1 to play this horse.
Top HatGUEST COMMENTARY: The Turf Man - ARISKA - This filly is moving from the grass to the dirt. Looking for her first win, this is a positive move.
STRAIGHT WAGERS:
Have to go with #4 ARISKA on the win end if we get at least 1/1 odds
