Indiana vs. New York, 05/24/2019 20:00 EDT

          Point Spread: +3½/-115 Indiana

          Sportsbook:
          Betonline

Both of these teams were the armpit of the WNBA. Last time these two teams met up final score was 68-55 Fever. Liberty home court advantage will not mean much I see a much improved Indiana team out there and this game will go down to who has the ball last. 3.5 points is a gift as I have this game as a PK.

Fever are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings in New York.

Friday night comp play goes out on Miami and Washington to have their hitting shoes on tonight in D.C. as the Marlins and Nationals open their weekend series with a game that lands Over the posted total.

With a bullpen that has struggled all season long - ERA hovering near 7! - I think its safe to assume that the Marlins will be able to plate some runs against the yielding Washington pitching staff.

The Nationals have played each of their last 3 games Over the posted total, and are on a 7-2 Over run their last 9 games played overall.

This will be the second series of the season between the teams, with the first series just over a month ago seeing 2 of the 3 hold Under the total, but it should be noted that 8 of the last 11 played between the division-rivals since last season have landed Over the posted price.

Pablo Lopez will start for the Marlins, and he just turned in his best start of the season by going 7 innings with one hit allowed, no runs and 7 K's versus the Mets, but that start did come at home. On the road this season, Lopez is 1-4 with an over 8 ERA., and in his 2 career starts against the Nationals, he is 0-1 with an over 7 ERA.

Washington counters with Kyle McGowin who makes his first start of the season after working 3 innings in relief on May 19th against the Cubs. In those 3 innings, McGowin allowed 3 hits and 3 runs - 2 of them earned.

If you are looking for some offense in the bigs this Friday night, this Marlins-Nationals contest is your kind of game!

            Miami-Washington Over the total.

I'm on a 16-3 winning run with MLB freebies this season.

My free play for Friday night is on the struggling Arizona Diamondbacks to get a lift with a win over the San Francisco Giants. And with this play, I want you to list the scheduled starting pitchers Robbie Ray and Drew Pomeranz.

Sure, the Diamondbacks have lost five straight and seven of 10, but they're still 25-25 (.500) on the year, and it's their offense that's kept in third place in the National League West with a +23-run differential.

David Peralta leads the team with a batting average of .309, while Eduardo Escobar leads the Diamondbacks with 26 extra base hits and has 34 RBIs. Over the last 10 games, Adam Jones is 11-for-39 with two doubles, two home runs and seven RBIs.

The Snakes will rally for Ray, who makes his second straight start against the Giants after throwing 87 pitches in four innings last Sunday in Phoenix, where he gave up four walks, three hits and two runs while striking out six. The key thing I took from that outinrg was that his pitch count and innings were season lows.

He shouldn't have a problem against a Giants team that is last in the West, and has a negative run differential of -52 runs.

That won't help Pomeranz, who gave up two runs over 4 2/3 innings against the Diamondbacks in that same game on Sunday, his first start since returning from the injured list. The left-hander is 0-3 with a 7.76 ERA in nine career appearances against Arizona, so that's another knock.

I like the Diamondbacks in this spot.

              4* DIAMONDBACKS (Ray over Pomeranz)

As part of a 16-7 rout yesterday in Anaheim, the Twins smacked six home runs, marking the fourth time this season they've hit at least six in a game. Perspective: The other 29 teams in baseball have had three of those such games, combined. The Twins are on pace to hit 324 home runs, which would shatter the major league record of 267 set by the New York Yankees last season.

To say Target Field will be rocking tonight for the Twins' return is an understatement. I'll play them on the run line against the Chicago White Sox.

Though pitchers are automatically listed when making Run Line wagers, I am insisting you DO NOT worry about who the scheduled starters are. In the event of a scratch, you MUST re-wager the game with the new pitcher(s) who are scheduled. This play will stand no matter who pitches for either team.

The Twins, who are 8-3 against teams from the American League Central, are in first place in the American League Central, with a 33-16 mark. They've won eight of 11 thanks to a batting average around .300 in that span, while the lineup has provided pitchers with a run differential of +37 runs.

The White Sox, meanwhile, have a paltry batting average of .231 in their last 10 games and have been outscored by nine runs in that span. Chicago is also struggling with a 12-13 mark on the road.

Play the Twins on the Run Line, as they continue their offensive barrage.

                3* TWINS RUN LINE

Friday freebie is the Over in the Yankees-Royals series opener from K.C.

New York has been living up to their nickname of the Bronx Bombers lately, as they come into this series having scored 47 runs in their last 5 games, and I like the scoring to continue tonight when they open against the Royals.

The Yankees have played each of those 5 games that I just mentioned above Over the posted total, and with Aaron Boone having to start Chad Green this evening, chances they will play another game Over the total look pretty strong.

Green usually works out of the bullpen, but with the New York rotation thinned by injuries, he will get his second start of the season. His work to date has totaled just over 12 innings, and he has allowed 21 hits that have plated 18 runs - 17 of the runs earned!

Cannot count on Green to work deep tonight, or work many clean frames.

Kansas City has played their last pair of games Over the total, and they are 4-3-1 Over the total in their last 8 games overall.

The Royals will send Jakob Junis to the mound. Junis has been scuffling, losing each of his last 3 starts, while posting an ERA over 7. He will be making his second start of the year against the Yankees, as he took the loss back in the Bronx in April, allowing 5 runs - 4 earned - in just over 5 innings of work.

The scoreboard tonight will feature many crooked-digits.

                  Yankees-Royals Over the total.

My free play is pricey, but I'm rolling with it anyway simply because I don't like the card tonight much, and this might be the only other play I love besides my side in the Boston-Houston game.

Play the New York Mets on the run line over the Detroit Tigers.

IMPORTANT: As you know every single Run Line play and Total wager will automatically list the scheduled starting pitchers at the time of the wager. Now, here is the thing with this game, I am not concerned with who is pitching for the Tigers, but I do want you to double-check your ticket and be sure it includes Mets starter Noah Syndergaard. That said, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to be sure you have action even if Detroit's starter is scratched, by betting the game over again in the event that takes place. If Syndergaard doesn't go - this is a no-play.

The lowly Tigers open a nine-game road trip in Queens after playing their last nine in Motown, and this trip won't start easy. The Tigers have lost 9 of 10 and are hitting an abysmal .197 in those games, while being outscored by 45 runs.

They have the fourth-worst batting average (.221) in baseball and now open this series against Noah Syndergaard, who has cast aside his early-season struggles and seems to be in a rhythm on the hill at this point.

He's delivered quality starts in three of his last four starts, with a 2.40 ERA over that stretch, and this is a great spot for him to continue to build momentum and dominate a very bad lineup.

Play the Mets on the run line.

2* METS RUN LINE (straight action)
