My free play winner for Tuesday is the Dodgers on the Run Line to down the Diamondbacks one more time.
Last night Los Angeles opened with a 3-1 win over Arizona, as the Dodgers continue to pick 'em up and put them down this season. That win marked the 6th straight time the Dodgers have earned the "W", as L.A. is currently on a 10-1 uptick that has seen them record 8 of their 10 wins by 2 runs or better.
Arizona has won just twice in their last 8 games, and they have won just once in the first 5 season series meetings against Los Angeles this season, with 3 of the 4 losses coming by at least 2 runs.
You also factor into the above equation the fact Hyun-Jin Ryu is working on a 5 game personal winning streak, and he has also defeated the D-Backs once already this season - 1 run allowed, 6 innings pitched, 8 strikeouts back in March - and you get the feeling that another L.A. 2 runs or better win is in the cards for tonight's final outcome.
Taylor Clarke will counter for Arizona and is making his 4th major league start. Clarke is 1-1 with an ERA of 4.67, and he is in charge tonight of slowing down a sizzling attack that has scored 32 runs during their 6 game winning streak, and has allowed just 15 runs total in those 6 games, including 7 runs in their last 5 wins. I just don't see an Arizona win tonight. In fact, I don't see them coming close to winning.
