A definite class advantage goes to this horse. A good indication he will be very competitive in this turf race. This horse earns a lot of money per race. Uppermost in this event.

THISISMYDAY - The ROI when Wade and Sharp hook up is fantastic. This colt likes to lay just off the pace and the way things shape up here, he should get a gorgeous trip. May be extremely hard to beat this noble animal on the grass today. Last time out scored a nice turf number, the highest of any of these animals. CHARGIN TEXAN - This gelding is back in a race very quick. This is a great angle - Sprint horses that come back in less than 10 days after a race. A good sign of a sharp and ready racehorse. This gelding has higher odds on the morning line than the other entrant from the stable of Cravens. Better beware of this angle. Trainer Cravens moves this animal to a lower level to face a lower class of horses. Look for a solid race in here. DIZZY KITTEN - It looks like Valdezjiminez had to be more familiar with this gelding on May 25th when riding him for the first time. Back aboard again today. Have to make this gelding a strong challenger; he comes off a nice race on May 25th.

My free play is on the Pittsburgh Pirates on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers, and be sure you're listing Jordan Lyles over Zach Davies.

It's a division rivalry, and I'll take a shot with the big underdog, especially when there's a little revenge in order. These teams just met, and Lyles lost to Davies in Pittsburgh. Now it's time to return the favor.

Lyles might have done too much on Sunday, when he focused on two pitches - his fastball and curveball - during a 4-2 loss. He threw 109 pitches, and labored. He's going to be much more relaxed tonight, and I'm thinking he'll open up the arsenal and stretch his repertoire.

And I'm sure the Pirates will be looking to chase Davies early, after he just pitched into the ninth inning for the first time in his career, against these Bucs. He was driven a bit that night, as the Pirates were coming off a 13-inning game the night before that strained the bullpen. At 6-0, with a 2.20 ERA, and pitching at home, I think he's capable of looking past this team and underestimating Pittsburgh's hitters.

Take the road dog and list both.

Saturday night comp play will be the Nationals and the Padres to cool down on their high-scoring ways of late as Max Scherzer and Eric Lauer climb the bump and set the batters down for the majority of the evening.

Mighty Max may only be 3-5 for the season, but he has been on target of late, as Scherzer is 1-0 over his last 3 starts, and in those 3 starts he has allowed just 2 runs to score on 14 hits over his last 22 innings pitched. He has also fanned 30 hitters in that stretch, half of them in his last start, a 4-1 road win at Cincinnati in a game that held Under the total. That marked the second start in a row that has held Under the total with Scherzer doing the mound-work.

Southpaw Eric Lauer has been as steady as they come, as each of his last 3 starts have seen him allow just 1 earned run. Lauer has allowed 2 earned runs or less in 6 of his last 7 assignments, with the Under at 2-1-1 his last 4 starts. Lauer's best work on the hill has come in his home park where he sports a season ERA of 2.50, with 5 of his 7 starts thus far at Petco Park having landed Under the total.

With last night's Over, Washington is now 5-3 Over in their last 8, while San Diego has been Over the total in each of their last 7.

I say throw those trends out the window, tonight is all about Scherzer and Lauer doing the damage and keeping the runs off of the scoreboard.
