        MLB - Padres -106

The Padres travel to the east coast after getting swept at home by the NL East-leading Braves. San Diego faces the NL East doormats as the Padres face the Marlins in Miami. Logan Allen makes his first start since getting racked by the Giants on July 1 as the West Palm Beach native won in his only road start at Baltimore. The Marlins are 4-1 in Jordan Yamomoto's five starts this season, as this is the lowest price that the rookie is receiving this season. Miami is 5-14 the last 19 home games and although San Diego has struggled, I'll back the Padres here.

        MLB - Pirates +165

The Cardinals have won three consecutive games, coming off Monday's 7-0 shutout of the Pirates. Pittsburgh has lost four consecutive games, as the Pirates try to turn it around with Dario Agrazal on the mound. The right-hander has pitched well in his limited time in the Pirates' rotation by tossing six innings in each of his last two starts, while beating the Astros and Brewers as an underdog. The Cardinals counter with Jack Flaherty, as the righty is winless in seven of his past eight outings in the favorite role. I'll back Pittsburgh here to end its losing skid.

Brendan McKay will be the primary reliever and he is 1-0 with a 1.69 ERA this season. He gave up three runs in five innings against the Yankees on July 5th. CC Sabathia has faced the Rays four times this season already and he’s 1-0 with a 2.63 ERA. The Yankees are 48-21 as the favorite, 30-13 as the home favorite, and they are 9-5 against the Rays this season.

Michael Pineda is 6-4 with a 4.56 ERA and he has only given up one run total in four of his last five outings. Asher Wojciechowski is 0-2 with a 6.10 ERA this season in three appearances including two starts. Austin Voth is 0-0 with a 5.52 ERA in three starts. Neither of these pitchers has pitched well, but the Nationals are 8-2 in their last 10 and the Orioles are 4-6. The Orioles are 12-34 at home and they are the only team in the league that has a worse bullpen than the Nationals. Adding a DH will only help the Nationals lineup, lay the road favorite.

Twenty-one year-old Bryse Wilson's return to the rotation on July 3 went far better than many expected, as he allowed two runs on five hits over six innings in a 9-2 win over the Phillies. The Braves are 22-8 in their last 30 road games and have a good shot against a Brewers team on a 2-8 skid. Play the road dog.

In 12 career appearances versus Arizona, Lynn is 6-0 with a 2.80 ERA. Arizona has been solid on the road, but the Rangers are outstanding at home, 31-19 thus far at Globe Life Park. Lay it.

The Mariners' offense has bottomed out, hitting .218 while barely averaging three runs per game in July. But there's hope on Tuesday against A's hurler Daniel Mengden, who they got for three runs on six hits in 5.1 innings in Mengden's last start. He's been far worse at home than on the road this year -- which is the opposite trend of Mariners starter Marco Gonzales. He's dominated Oakland this year, going 3-0 with a 2.57 ERA in three starts. Take away Matt Chapman's robust .450 lifetime average against him, and the rest of the A's lineup is .177 against him in 113 chances. Take a chance on the big underdog.

Steven Matz is back in the rotation due to Zack Wheeler's injury, but this is not a good place for him. He faces a Twins lineup that ranks No. 1 in MLB in hitting against left-handed pitching (.296), and No. 2 in OPS (.868). And he's on the road -- Matz this season is 2-6 with a 7.07 ERA away from Citi Field. Meanwhile, Twins starter Michael Pineda has found his form, allowing two runs over his last 12 innings.

Through five starts, Marlins rookie pitcher Jordan Yamamoto has held opponents scoreless in three of them and hasn't allowed more than three hits in any. Now he gets a Padres team that's struggling, hitting .217 and averaging 3.2 runs in the month of July. The Marlins' offense isn't any good and it's always a risk to back, but Padres rookie LHP Logan Allen is coming off consecutive duds -- opponents are hitting .294 against him this year. The price is right to back the home underdog.

Andrew Cashner makes his debut for the Red Sox since being traded from the Orioles. He's made two career starts at Fenway and both went not-so-good, but he was with Baltimore then. Now he is backed by a Boston offense that's raking, averging seven runs per game this month. And he faces a Blue Jays team that he's had a history of success against. The Toronto lineup is .175 hitting against him in 97 at-bats. The Sox offense should give enough support against Blue Jays call-up Jacob Waguespack.

The Rays are hitting well right now and are 17-9 this year when Ryan Stanek starts in one of their bullpen games. But the Yankees are at home and they're throwing a pitcher that Tampa has yet to figure out. Typically the more-often a team sees a pitcher, the better the bats should do. But the Rays have already faced CC Sabathia four times this year, and he's held them down in all four. Through 25 innings, Tampa's managed only seven runs on 18 hits with 18 strikeouts. Sabathia is always tougher at Yankee Stadium, where his 2.31 ERA is more than three runs lower than his road split.

There's spot value Tuesday on the Mariners because of a favorable matchup for starter Marco Gonzales, who has 30 percent of his wins this season against Oakland. He is 3-0 with a 2.57 ERA in three starts against the Athletics. He is 4-1 with a 3.12 ERA in his career against them. Oakland starter Daniel Megden is 1-2 with a 5.20 ERA in five career starts against the Mariners. Current form of both clubs dictates this price, but value looms on the underdog.
