This almost seems too easy....and my cap is extensive. I don't have time to get it all down in here in a responsible amount of time so I apologize but

1) no Soto

2) Fedde is certainly not ready for Aquino et al

3) Disco has punished the Nats lineup for a 2.21 FIP, .247 wOBA, and even lower .231 xwOBA

4) Fedde barely Ks more batters than he even walks...trouble when facing the more patient than most Reds...and has an over all xFIP of an entire point higher than his ERA....a play ON factor anyway....aside from all else we have here.

I would not be surprised if the Nats ran Fedde by the 4th and make for a long night for the home team in the nation's capital!

Could anyone construct in a lab a more terrible spot for a team....one that SCREAMS let down in a more overt way...in history! I'm not sure if it could be possible!

First....the Twins get hammered by the Braves to allow the Indians to come in for a 4 gamer with the chance to take over the division. Next they take the first 2 before Odorizzi slows their role a bit on Saturday.

Then...they have it all in the bag...Brad Hand comes in and promptly vomits up a 3-1 9th inning lead with a throw out at home away from a split and a crazy dejected dugout that was JUST on the precipice of the divisional lead they had fought so hard for...only to have the top of the 10th go single, BB, single.....an amazingly "smooth" grand salami from Carlos Santana!....and a RAUCOUS Indians team.

Ancillary non letdown reasons

1) I don't fully buy Plesac

2) I fully buy Eduardo AND his run support from his offense is NUTSO

3) wanna know how WE know the Indians team psyche as far as the let down? Yasiel Puig ( on a TEAR with the Tribe since his trade...and before honestly!) decided to start his suspension tonight.

4) 75% of the tickets on the home dog....that WAS a favorite before ALL the money flowed in on the visitors!

However, the Reds are a different team on the road at 23-32 while the Nats are 31-25 at home and needing some wins on a lengthy homestand. I like the Nats at home.

The Padres are 28-31 at home and 9-13 when Lucchesi starts, take the value in the Rays.

They are plus-money against another rookie in Jose Suarez, who is coming off of two straight brutal starts, giving up a combined 10 runs in only nine innings. The underdog is the play Monday.
