The Orioles scored a season-high 14 runs on Friday night to come through as a road favorite for the first time all season and are back in that role this evening despite the presence of Dylan Bundy on the mound. Both he and Jorge Lopez have been among baseball's most flammable starters this season, so don't be surprised to see more runs here. Ride the high side.

MLB - Dodgers/Diamondbacks Under 8.5

The Dodgers are dealing with adversity for the first time in months and will turn to Clayton Kershaw to try and prevent the team's first three-game losing streak in over a month. Robbie Ray will start for the Snakes, giving them an opportunity to win a sixth straight and continue their ascent up the NL wild card standings. Expect a pitchers' duel with both starters doing their part in a meaningful divisional game.

Davies v. Hamels

1) Wind blowing in at Wrigley yet again this afternoon at double digit MPH.

2) Rob Drake behind the plate is Over posion...in fact his games go Under at a 70% clip overall...but...wait for it...wait for it...100% Under in NL games...in 11 times as home plate umpire this season.

3) Rizzo is back in the lineup today and healthy enough to apparently play for the first time in a week. We had an Under play yesterday and largely lost it due to the fact the Cubs lineup showed up with their "Sunday" players...Happ and Bote contributing for a lot of the baserunners and rallies...with Castellanos going deep in both his first ABs with Happ on base. Bryant and Baez have struggled as much as anyone and with Rizzo also back and Schwarber, the "normal" Cubs lineup going again today should be a boon to us with Davies on the mound...a usual fade pitcher for us with xFIP.

4) Hamels most likely can shut this lineup down that for the past 10 days has -1 wRAA and a .303 wOBA against LHP with a BA of .200...and will be almost certainly missing Hiura at the top of the order.

This play is a great deal at 8.5...and hurry and get it before it's just an 8

If it by chance can be found for 9 it is a full fledged 5% of BIGGER play no doubt!

Lopez v. Strasburg

Nick Lentz is suiting up behind the plate and this may be enough here to justify this play...which should also likely be bigger than a 4% release! The difference in metrics between the 2 starters facing the opposing lineup in a word: UGLY. Pablo has an xwOBA twice that of Strasburg, he has struck out the Nats at not even an 8% rate with SS north of 31%.

Difference in FIP is 8.40 to 2.09 and BAA .319 for the Nats with .154 for the Fish against Strasburg.

Lentz is going for the home team at a 20-7 clip and this might be ugly as early the 1st or 2nd...and stay that way is Stephen stays focused!

Don't look now but the Orioles are not ALL THAT BAD. They split a series with playoff or fringe playoff teams in the Nats and Rays and then kept that going heading to KC to face a much more woeful Royals team...and there was not letdown with a 14-2 defeat! A massively non-public couple of teams facing off and we also have a favorite flip. This is what I'm talking about with Vegas indifference...they throw up KC as a tiny home dog in a professional baseball game on the eve of September in the year of our Lord 2019??? And think all the money will follow that short lay for the road team?

KC is 2-10 in games when Lopez starts assuming he gets the ball at the beginning and opens for a bit.

WOW. PERIOD. I only wish I had been quicker on the trigger.

Logan Webb started this very season down in Single-A. Now he's getting call-up, mop-up action at the end of a lost season for the Giants. He hasn't been good in either of his first two starts - including getting knocked around by the A's last weekend - and I think that he's going to get knocked around in his first home start. He's not good. This guy had a 4.57 run average in his eight Double-A starts, but somehow skated from Double-A to the Majors with just one single Triple-A start in between. Again: this guy shouldn't be here. Joey Lucchesi is who he is. He is a mediocre lefty that had a sparkling 2.84 ERA in pitcher-friendly PetCo but an ugly 5.83 ERA on the road this year. He's on the road here, and I don't expect it to go great. These are two lower-scoring teams. And that is what is pinning this number down. But these are two ripe pitchers. And I see some runs here. Play the 'over'.
