The Magic number for the Twins clinching the division is now two. Look for them to handle their business tonight against the lowly Detroit Tigers and win this game by two runs or more. The Tigers have lost six of their last seven and are just 22-57 at home this season.
Randy Dobnak is 1-1 with a 2.70 ERA and 1.275 WHIP in four starts this season for the Twins. He has come up clutch here down the stretch. He has posted a 1.50 ERA in his two road starts this season as well.
Daniel Norris is 1-7 with a 4.62 ERA in 11 home starts this season for the Tigers. He is also 3-13 with a 4.60 ERA in 28 starts overall while averaging just 4.7 innings per start. The Twins are likely to get into the Tigers’ dreadful bullpen early in this one.

Big time value here with the Phillies as a big dog against the Nationals on Wednesday. With Washington's double-header sweep of Philadelphia and the Cubs loss to the Pirates, the Nats secured a playoff spot. I think did a little bit of celebrating last night and come out flat.
It also helps the Nationals don't have one of their top starters on the mound, as they send out Anibal Sanchez. He's got a mere 4.40 ERA and 1.358 WHIP in 14 home starts and is 5-11 with a 4.49 ERA and 1.465 WHIP in 24 career starts against the Nationals.
Drew Smyly goes for the Phillies and he's 16-7 against the money line in his last 23 road starts against a division opponent. I'll take my chances with the Pirates on the money line in Wednesday's home matchup with the Cubs. We cashed in on Pittsburgh as a big home dog with our free pick Tuesday. I just thought that 4-game sweep at the hands of the Cardinals was the final straw for the Cubs. If they continue to be priced like this, you have to take your chances with the other side. Chicago's Jon Lester is also not throwing great. He's got a 7.63 ERA and 2.022 WHIP in his last 3 starts. He faced Pittsburgh earlier this month and gave up 7 runs on 11 hits in 5 innings.
