Analysis: Last week Oregon State had 28-18 first down and 501-353 yard edges as their offense woke up in the second half (trailed 21-0 early 3Q). Stanford got a 39-yard FG with :01 left and the Beavers did miss 2 FG’s in the first half. Oregon St QB Jake Luton was 27 of 39 for 337 yards and a TD while RB Artavis Pierce ran for 141 yards and 2 TD’s. On the other side, we lost fading UCLA last week. Arizona QB Khalil Tate was a late scratch, announced about an hour before kickoff. UCLA missed a 39-yard FG with :34 left in the game that would’ve sent it to OT. UCLA QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson left late in the third quarter after an Arizona player fell on his left leg from behind. His replacement, sophomore Austin Burton, was 5 of 9 for 48 yards. With Thompson-Robinson questionable here, we’ll take the Beavers.

Analysis: Rice is 0-5 this season but the Owls are much improved from a year ago (+5.0 in our power ratings). Last week they nearly upset Louisiana Tech at home. Rice had a 338-294 yard edge including 190-84 on the ground but fell by 3 in OT. On the other side, UAB is coming off their first loss of the season (20-13 at Western Kentucky). It was misleading as UAB had 20-14 first down and 298-222 yard edges including 117-33 on the ground but were -3 in TO’s. UAB QB Tyler Johnston was abysmal going 18 of 31 for 181 yards and a 0-4 ratio. UAB is 14-0 SU/11-2-1 ATS at home since returning in 2017 and we like them by double-digits.
