Miami -19 over Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech came into this season with a new coach and new offensive system. These current running backs and guys on the offensive line were not recruited for this style of play. Miami has an excellent run defense and should be causing all kinds of problems in the backfield today. The Canes are a super athletic team that will make some silly mistakes, but over the course of 60 minutes they should pull away and win this game by a lot. I don’t see the Yellow Jackets getting in the end zone today. Take Miami.

Florida State won this match up last year and they retained more starting talent this year so I expect the same results. Wake Forest might have to go back to Sam Hartmann today as Jamie Newman is nursing a shoulder injury. Hartmann is a good QB, but he doesn’t bring that mobility needed to beat this athletic defense. FSU is loaded with talent and are looking for a punching bag after Clemson destroyed them. Wake is a trendy team to bet, but I don’t think they can matchup for 60 minutes against the athletes the Noles bring to the table. Take FSU.

Iowa -18 over Purdue
Purdue drew the perfect opponent last week against a dysfunctional Maryland team who beat themselves. Iowa is not going to beat themselves. This is a Hawkeye team that has lost two in a row and are looking for a punching bag. Purdue also won this game last year so they will not be taking this team lightly. Purdue is going to have a tough time with a young backup QB and lack of quality running backs today. Iowa plays so smart and over the course of a full game really frustrates teams to make plays that turn into turnovers. Look for the Iowa Offense to have a field day after playing two good defenses the last two weeks. They finally get a chance to bust out. Take Iowa.

Oregon State looked like they were turning the page, but you saw last week that they are not as talented as some of the bigger schools with great defenses. Utah smothered this team for 59 scoreless minutes. CAL has a defense that is right on par that is great on all three levels. CAL will be without their starting QB today, but had two weeks to prepare for this game and truth be told this Oregon State Defense is just not good. This is a perfect spot for Devin Modster to get quality reps. Oregon State will be without their top running back today in Jermar Jefferson. This team is going to have trouble moving the football. Take CAL.
