The series has been dominated by Unders posting a 9-1 record in the last 10 meetings, and the Under is 8-1 in Alabama's last nine games coming off a bye week. Also, Tide QB Tua Tagovailoa just had ankle surgery, and his mobility will be in question. Take the Under.

Alabama’s defense has not been what we’re used to. It’s still very good, but it’s playing LSU’s best offensive team in the modern college football era. LSU also has a quarterback, for the first time in a long time, who will not be afraid of the bright lights and big moments against Alabama. The Tua Tagovailoa injury is a real concern because of his instinct to create and extend plays with his legs and LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda’s ability to find ways to move him with pressures. History is what makes this number as big as it is, but this is a totally different LSU team and it will buck the trends on Saturday. Take the Tigers.

When Miami gets a signature win, there’s always a let-down to follow. It happened after Miami beat Virginia then lost to Georgia Tech at home. It will happen again after a road win over rival Florida State when Louisville comes to town. Louisville is coming off a bye week and will have a great gameplan against a Miami team that has two straight huge wins over ACC opponents. The Louisville offense can negate Miami’s defensive front in ways other opponents can’t due to the quarterback run game and creative offensive system. Louisville has a great shot at pulling an upset here.

Baylor’s close call last week against West Virginia may have kept this line at a reasonable number, but that game shouldn’t have been close. The Bears dominated everywhere but the scoreboard, and that it took survival to sneak past the Mountaineers tells me that Baylor will be alert for a tricky TCU squad. TCU has had two quarterbacks transfer in recent weeks, and its other two scholarship quarterbacks are dealing with injuries. A balanced Baylor team should be able to stay unbeaten against a TCU team with a true freshman quarterback dealing with an injury on his throwing hand. Take the Bears.

David Shaw seems to have finally adjusted to some roster deficiencies and injury issues that have plagued the Cardinal early in the season, but he’s also gotten his quarterback, K.J. Costello, back healthy. That has equated to a much more trustworthy Stanford team in recent weeks. It’s coming off its second bye week in a month while Colorado is about to play its sixth straight game with the worst defense in the Power Five and an offense that has lacked the consistency that it showed in the previous seasons. Stanford will roll.

He employs one of the best defenses in the country at limiting big plays and has an offense that can possess the football for big chunks of time to limit that OU offense. Iowa State may not have the firepower to upset the Sooners off of a bye week but it’s a good enough team to keep this one close for four quarters. Take the Cyclones.

It’s been an admirable run for Tennessee over the last five games as it has emerged as a respectable SEC East team with wins over Mississippi State and South Carolina as well as a strong showing against Alabama. But this is where the Vols run out of steam. Expect Tennessee to be run down after that brutal five-game stretch, particularly as injuries mount and quarterback play remains spotty and uncertain. Kentucky will be refreshed after a bye week and hosts Tennessee at home at night in a game that the Wildcats will be very motivated for. Kentucky will control this one from start to finish. Take the 'Cats.
