ATLANTA @ DENVER | 11/12 | 9:00 PM EST
Last year when these two teams faced off, the total was set at 224. A 15-point reduction with almost identical lineups tells me that this is almost definitely recency bias and is due to both of these teams slow offensive start. These teams have combined to cash only 28 percent of their Overs so far this season. Look for two of the youngest point guards in the league in Trae Young (21) and Jamal Murray (22) to push the tempo Tuesday nigh. Over is the play.

The Hawks have covered seven of the last eight meetings against Denver, but this bet on the Nuggets is all about what is happening now. The Hawks are struggling with losses in five of their last six (also 1-5 against the spread), including their last three. Meanwhile Denver comes in hot with a four-game win streak, and its defense kept all four games Under. Take the Nuggets.

Portland has won six of the past seven meetings, and I expect more of the same tonight with Hassan Whiteside dominating inside. He had 22 points and nine boards in the first meeting, a 10-point Trail Blazers win. Though the Kings have won three of four, they're just 1-4 ATS at home. Lay the small number.

The Bobcats are clinging to life in the MAC East, trying to keep pace with Miami (OH). A usually stout defensive team, Ohio has had its issues this season, especially against the run. Western Michigan has a ton of speed and athleticism on the perimeter, led by RB LeVante Bellamy. Weather will be a factor in this game, but that means the Broncos could lean heavily on Bellamy and their run game, which doesn't bode well for Ohio. Take Western.

This total has moved up a point and a half since it was posted, which is fine with me. I felt the original line was just about dead on, and now there's value to be had here. Western Michigan has been a much different team on the road. At home the Broncos have averaged 43 points per game, while on the road that number is down to 25.25. Still, these two teams are too evenly-matched to like either side of the spread (though I'd lean Ohio), so I'll stay on the Under.

E. MICHIGAN @ AKRON | 11/12 | 6:00 PM EST
First year Akron coach Tom Arth is in the process of rebuilding a program and establishing a culture with the Zips. It's been a tough transition for them this season, mainly on the defensive side of the ball. Akron struggles on third downs and has major problems inside the red zone on both sides of the ball. While Eastern Michigan isn't the juggernaut it was a few seasons ago, its offense should definitely have one of its best outings of the season against the Zips. Take the Eagles.

The winless Akron Zips are running out of time to get a win in 2019, and they're set to host an Eastern Michigan team that’s lost four of five on Tuesday. Their spectrum of losses does not compare to the Zips, who have been blown out with very little offense. Look for the Zips to finally show some worth ATS in this one. Grab Akron and the points.

The Gophers come into this game off a tough loss to Oklahoma by nine points in a game where they fell apart late. Butler is riding a 53-game home winning streak against non-conference opponents, but is sure to be tested here. The Gophers shot horrible from beyond the arc in their last game but will improve against a poor perimeter defense.

The Auburn Tigers have won 14 of 15 dating back to last season and have a terrific head coach in Bruce Pearl. They are playing excellent defensively and did a great job against Davidson, shutting down its two top scorers. The Tigers will do the same here and look for them to continue to get to the free-throw line. The Tigers are 8-0 ATS their last eight road games.

Xavier is out looking for revenge after last year's meeting, but it will face another tough task here. The Tigers aren't getting a lot of respect and they are picked to finish in the bottom of the SEC. The Tigers match up well on both sides of he ball and have a shot to win this game. They have been terrific defensively in what should also be a low scoring game. The Tigers are 7-0-1 ATS their last eight against non-conference opponents.

This total is a bit too low considering the tempo of Cleveland State. Dating back to last season, the Vikings have had a total set in the 130s just once. Missouri State is averaging a little fewer than 14 points under the total thus far this campaign. That trend won’t last long. I like this total to find its way over the tiny number on Tuesday night.

Nevada stock is very low right now after the Wolf Pack failed to cover their first two games. So Tuesday's game is a perfect opportunity for Nevada backers. The Wolf Pack host a Texas-Arlington team that hasn’t faced any real competition yet. This line seems to me like a get-right spot for Nevada at home versus a team the Wolf Pack would have been a double-digit favorite against last season. Nevada by double digits.

This number is way too low considering we have one of the faster tempos in college basketball, Arkansas, hosting the Mean Green as a double-digit favorite. The Razorbacks will dominate this contest and dictate the tempo from tip-off. The last matchup between these teams finished with a total of 162. While Tuesday's game may not reach that number, a total under 140 is very hard to see. Take the Over.

Just eight months ago Auburn was the hottest team in the country. After coach Bruce Pearl directed the Tigers to the Final Four last season, he is trying to get his team prepped for another run in this year's dance. The last time these two teams faced, Auburn beat the Jaguars by 43. Now, as a seven-point favorite on the road, the Tigers should roll over South Alabama. This may be Auburn's most talented team yet.

Missouri enters this matchup having won - and covered - both of its first two games this season. The competition is the problem, however. The Tigers have faced Northern Kentucky (-14) and Incarnate Word (-27), both at home. The face their first test on the road this season against a very talented and well-coached squad. Last season, Xavier consistently beat nationally ranked teams in Villanova, St. John’s, and Butler. I like the Musketeers to take this one handily from the opening tip.

The Jazz took care of business against the Warriors on Monday, beating them by 14 points. They’ve now won three in a row, including defeating the Bucks and Sixers at home. Meanwhile, the Nets just lost by 26 points on the road against the Suns and are 1-3 ATS on the road this season. Add in Caris LeVert (thumb) being out and the Jazz have a favorable opportunity to win and cover.

Yes, the Kings have won three of their last four games, including a big home victory over the Jazz. However, everything has changed now that De’Aaron Fox (ankle) is out for at least three weeks. They are also still missing Marvin Bagley III (thumb), leaving them without two of their five starters. The Blazers are 4-2 ATS on the road, so I like their chances to win and cover Tuesday.

In a battle between two of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference, it’s a bit surprising to see the Bulls favored by this much. They lost to the Knicks by seven points in New York earlier this season and will be without one of their key starters in Otto Porter Jr. (foot). The Knicks will be without Mitchell Robinson (concussion) and Elfrid Payton (hamstring), but Dennis Smith Jr. is expected to make his return. Take the points.

Minnesota IS an under team and in fact, in their last 13 games as an AD they are 0-12-1 O/U going under by 11 PPG. The Gophers played two teams with tempo’s of 55 and 124 and those games totaled 135 and 133 points and the now face a team that is #340!. On the flipside Butler has played two teams that rank #241 and #295 in defensive efficiency and now face a team that is #78.

Game in Portland so while not true home edge I still give Oregon 1.3 points. This game is all about the Memphis hype. The whole world knows Memphis blew out Ill-Chi with the eligible/not-eligible episode but the Tigers have played two patsy at home. Oregon who I have as the better team overall also handled their two foes but they were at least competitive opponents in Boise St and Fresno St. Yes. Memphis had the #1 recruiting class but Oregon class was #3 and they have multiple transfers and the group and has to feel disrespected. The Ducks starting have 2,979 points worth of experience and the Tigers have 121.
