The big news leading up to this game is the status of Paul George (shoulder), who is listed as questionable. If he does play, it would be his first appearance in a Clippers’ uniform. However, I’m not counting on him to take the floor since the Clippers play again Thursday. I could see them sitting George here, then playing him Thursday and resting Kawhi Leonard. The Rockets will be missing two key parts of their rotation with Eric Gordon (knee) and Danuel House Jr. (back) out, so I’ll take the Clippers and the points.

The Orange's first game since only scoring 34 against Virginia. This is the best Colgate team in program history. It will be close and I expect it to be low-scoring. Syracuse to win but Colgate to easily cover. The Raiders could have won at Clemson last week.

Yes, play the money line here. Purdue is stronger than Marquette and could wind up having a better overall offense. Trevion Williams has been terrific to start the season. The Boilers have enough to prevent Markus Howard from flirting with 40 -- maybe even 30.

I like the Cardinals to win big because of their length and size. Louisville's looked ready from the start -- but the line is just "small" enough that Indiana State could keep within reach in the closing couple of minutes.

Ohio State will be a top-10 defense in college hoops by January, but Villanova's talent is too good and should prove superior even in a somewhat-docile road environment. Best game of the night.

All eyes will be on Wednesday's matchup between the Clippers and Rockets. The Clippers have already shown their power in the West with victories over the Warriors, Lakers, and Raptors. Houston, on the other hand, has had its ups and downs but matches the Clippers' overall record. This is the type of matchup where bench production will lead to victory. Look for the Rockets to win in that department and pull off the cover.

A first true road game for any college basketball team is difficult. And that will be true Wednesday when Power 5 program Oklahoma State heads east to take on College of Charleston. Expect the Cowboys' balance offensively and defensively to prove to be a challenge for the Cougars. Turnover issues by College of Charleston should lead to a Cowboys ATS road victory.

The Memphis Grizzlies are on the road Wednesday to take on a Charlotte Hornets team that has lost a bit of its' early success. After beginning the season 4-3, Charlotte has dropped three straight. Offense shouldn’t be an issue for the Hornets at home, but look for their defense to continue to suffer. Memphis gets the job done with an impactful young roster.

This is my favorite pick of the night. The Raptors are entering their fourth game on a five-game road trip. The injury-riddled Raptors are logging a lot of miles on that roster; neither Kyle Lowry (thumb) nor Serge Ibaka (ankle) will play. The Blazers will come out blazing and dominate this contest. Look for Damian Lillard, who’s averaging 32.5 points per game, to dissect the undersized Raptors backcourt and put up a monster night. I wouldn’t be surprised if Blazers won by double digits.

There are not many times bettors get such a big discount on the Spurs. But they have lost four out of their last five games and have lost back-to-back games as favorites. This is a complete anomaly for Gregg Popovich’s team. San Antonio has won 16 out of its last 18 versus the Timberwolves. Take the Spurs.

This is a classic “get right” spot for the Rockets as a small home favorite against the Clippers in the first game of a back-to-back. Houston is finally getting into a groove, winning four straight after coach Mike D’Antoni called his team out for being soft. The Clippers have covered five straight and are due to cool down. Take the Rockets in a close win and cover Wednesday night.

          MONMOUTH @ KANSAS ST. | 11/13 | 8:00 PM EST
          3:34 PM
Kansas State may have one of the slowest paces of play in college basketball, but the Wildcats are facing a Monmouth team that has built its brand on speed. In the Hawks' last four games as a five-point underdog or larger, they have scored 74, 72, 75 and 83 points. If they are able to put up 55 tonight, this total shouldn’t be an issue. Take the Over.

          3:23 PM
This number is massive considering how gritty and well coached this Saint Joseph's team is. The Hawks are no strangers to big road wins as exemplified by their win last season at Wake Forest. The Atlantic 10 has some under-the-radar teams. Meanwhile UConn has only faced Sacred Heart this season. Look for the Hawks to keep this game in single digits.

Both teams are on an Under tear, staying Under the total in 12 out of their last 13 games combined. Last year when these two faced each other, the total was 151. This line is way too much of an overreaction by Bookmakers. Look for the Quakers to push the tempo and dictate the pace of play in their home opener.

My model says the Cougars cover the spread 67 percent of the time, so you're getting good value playing BYI at this point spread. The Cougars are 11-0 against Southern Utah, will every game in the all-time series having taken place at the Marriott Center. Only one of the previous meetings has been decided by fewer than 15 points. Expect BYU to win big again.

This spread smells like a trap. Why are the Rockets just a 2.5-point home favorite where they are 5-0 and Northern Illinois is just 1-5 on the road? The Rockets are 4-1 ATS at home and outscoring their opponents by an average of 13 per game. The Rockets will control both lines of scrimmage.

The Red Raiders have won all six of their all-time meetings with Houston Baptist, which is about to get blown out this time around. Texas Tech has returned only three players from last season, but this team still is tough at both ends of the court as it possesses plenty of depth and talent. The Red Raiders' defense is sure to make life difficult for the Huskies.

Louisville has returned six of its seven top scorers from last season. The Cardinals are 6-1 in the all-time series after thumping Indiana State by 40 points in their most recent meeting in 2008. Louisville shot over 50 percent from the field in both of its games this campaign and now faces a Sycamore team that allowed 86 points against Dayton. This is the first-ever meeting between these two teams, and I expect it to get ugly. High Point has been getting hammered during its rough 0-2 start while Boston College has begun the season with a pair of solid wins. The Panthers don't shoot well and also don't play defense. The Eagles are very much improved and will dominate the boards.

The Raptors have won seven of the last eight meetings against Portland and I think they have a great chance to win this game outright. The Raptors haven't dropped two straight all season and come into this game off an emotional loss to the Clippers. The Blazers have dropped five of their last six games overall and just 1-3 at home this year.

The Celtics lost their season opener, but have now peeled off eight straight wins and showed no signs of slowing down even without Gordon Hayward. The Wizards are struggling on both sides of the ball and I think they will struggle to find some offensive rhythm against solid Celtics defense. The Wizards just 1-3 on the road and allowing 117 ppg.

The Golden Knights are in a bit of a rut, losing each of their last three games, but they'll return home after a four-game road trip and draw a favorable matchup. Overall, Chicago has played well of late, but they've struggled on the road this season. The Blackhawks have averaged just 1.86 goals per game while going 1-4-2 away from United Center. I do enjoy seeing high totals in games involving the Clippers. The Under has gone 7-3 in Clippers games this season because the Clippers are one of the best defensive teams in the league. The Rockets are not. They depend on offense to win games, but Eric Gordon out and Kawhi Leonard hounding James Harden, the Rockets won't find life easy on the offensive end tonight.

This is going to be a very fun game to watch, as the spread indicates how evenly-matched these teams will be in Columbus. Still, as I look at these two teams, there's one thing that separates them. The kind of thing that can tilt a close game in one direction or the other. Villanova is shooting over 80 percent on free throws, and was a good free throw shooting team last year. Through two games, Ohio State's shooting just under 59 percent from the charity stripe. I like the value of the Nova moneyline better than the point on the spread.

There's a lot of value on this spread as the line has shrunk about a point and a half, but Louisville is just so much better than Indiana State. The Cardinals are deeper, more experienced, bigger, and just better. This is going to be a blowout.

The best player on Northwestern in its embarrassing loss to Merrimack to start the season was Pat Spencer. It was Spencer's first game with Northwestern, as he's a senior transfer. If you recognize his name it's because Spencer was the first pick in the 2019 Premier Lacrosse League draft. Now, if the best player on your team is a lacrosse player just getting a final season of basketball in, I'm not sure that bodes well for the rest of your team. I'm going to fade Northwestern until it shows a reason not to.

                    3:15 PM
Both of these teams are off to terrific starts offensively, but those starts aren't sustainable. Marquette is currently shooting 61 percent from three. Purdue has been hot from three as well, shooting 40 percent. Well, these two have also been terrific defensively, and that's a trend that's far more likely to continue than their hot shooting. Particularly now that both teams will be facing good defenses for the first time.

                    3:09 PM
This total is moving quickly, and it's moving for a reason, so I want to get on it while there's still value. San Diego State is strong defensively, and Grand Canyon is going to have trouble finding easy points against it. The Antelopes look to push the pace, but the Aztecs -- particularly at home -- will disrupt them and get them out of their comfort zone. I like the Aztecs against the spread as well, but don't trust their offense enough. Which just makes the Under even more appealing.

The underlying metrics suggest that Miami isn't as good as its record suggests, and that's likely part of the reason this line has shrunk from 18.5 to 17. Well, I appreciate that value, as Miami might not be as good as its record would have you believe, but it's certainly 17 points better than Bowling Green.

A quick check of the forecast in Toledo Wednesday night shows cold temperatures and a stiff wind blowing. In other words, it's going to be a miserable night for everybody in the crowd, as well as both offenses. Plus, the last seven meetings between these two have all stayed Under.

The Celtics have been putting opponents away with such relative ease that this number appears light at first glance. But it's difficult to envision them at full motivation Wednesday as they finish up a home stand before hitting a five-game road trip. However, the Wizards are desperate for a competitive outing following blowout losses to the Pacers and Cavaliers. The game hold special significance for point guard Isaiah Thomas, the former standout Celtic who returns to Boston for the first time in another uniform. look for him to lead Washington to a strong effort.

The Wizards have had four days off so they should be rested, but they can’t do anything about a lack of talent while John Wall remains out. They’ve lost five of their last six, including their most recent game as a 4.5-point home favorite to the Cavs. The Celtics are on an eight-game win streak and have covered their last four.

The Friars have looked excellent on offense and on defense in their fist two games this year. Northwestern on the other hands dropped a game at home to Merrimack College who don’t really have the size or athletic ability like Big East Programs. Ed Cooley is an excellent coach and I just can’t see Providence not pounding a Wildcat Basketball team that just is not going to be any good this year. The Friars have a stacked offense and I believe will be in the hunt for a Big East Title this year. Take Providence.

The road team has won and covered the last four meetings, but I don’t see that happening here. Miami-Ohio is on a nice roll with wins and covers in its last three games, while Bowling Green has lost six of its last eight. Miami-Ohio is also on a 12-2 ATS run in conference play. I'm backing Miami-Ohio on Wednesday night.

In what world are the 76ers 1 point underdogs to the Orlando Magic. The 76ers have no injuries coming into this game. Philly will be playing their 2nd game of a back to back tonight after barely squeezing out a win against Cleveland last night. Philly hasnt looked great as of late but we all know who they are and what they can be. And I sure as hell know who Orlando is, and what they are going to be. Coming into tonights game, the 76ers are averaging 111 PPG as the Magic are only averaging 98... That is pathetic. In todays NBA how can you average below 100 points. Sounds like terrible coaching to me. Philly actually opened as 3 point favorites but quickly became underdogs as the public just absolutely hammered the Orlando Magic. Just think about it, the Magic are 3-7 and are expected to win this game? Thats odd. You have to score the ball if you want to win games vs these great teams, you cannot just rely on defense. Maybe Orlando can get things going on the offensive end tonight? WRONG. The 76ers are only allowing 106 PPG. This is going to be a long night for the Orlando Magic. Philly is 2x as good as Orlando and there is no reason the 76ers should be underdogs here. Take Philly as they disrespect the Magic tonight.
