MILLS is my choice. Earned a sound speed figure in the last race. Can run another good one in this race. Cannizzo has this gelding running well and is a competitive pick based on the formidable Equibase Speed Figures put up in route races recently. Cannizzo is trying to prove victorious with this one by bringing him back so soon. ROYAL ALBERT HALL (GB) - Shows evidence of the look of a lucrative play, averaging a solid 89 speed rating which is one of the strongest in this group. Facing a much less demanding group than last time out. FLEET IRISH - His earnings per start in dirt route races alone makes you take a look at him. Has competed solidly in dirt route races.

AULD LANGE SYNE - Last time out, finished sixth on the soft turf at Laurel. Have to do better in this event. Taking a trip down the class scale; has the capability to make his presence felt. Has a decent opportunity to break maiden switching to the dirt in this race. YES MAN - The last time I saw this horse was at Laurel in a race with a class figure of 74. Dropping drastically in class rating this time out puts him in a solid position in this event. Ortiz comes to race after getting to know the colt in the last race. Have to forget about that last turf race. This colt should do better hitting the dirt in this event. Ran a less than stellar race at Laurel last time around the track. Racing on a non-sloppy track puts this colt at the top of my list of contenders.

Vulnerable Contenders: #2 BAYANO (ML=3/1), #3 GOODLUCKCHUCK (ML=9/2), #9 DYNA'S KNIGHT (ML=5/1),

BAYANO - This steed hasn't been near the winner at the finish lately. When looking at today's class rating, he will have to earn a much better speed figure than last time around the track to battle in this dirt route. GOODLUCKCHUCK - Quite unimpressive speed fig last race out at Laurel at 1 mile. Don't think this questionable contender will improve too much in today's event. DYNA'S KNIGHT - This gelding notched a speed rating in his last race which likely isn't good enough today.

GONE GLIMMERING - In this field, this entrant is at the top in earnings per start in dirt route races. Her chances to win are much better today facing this softer field. TRIXIE RACER - Strong jock with trainer figs make this horse a sharp pick. Pish has one of the best winning percentages in this group of horses with entries running at this distance and surface.
