My money is on the OVER 223.5 in Friday's NBA slate that has the 76ers hosting the Spurs. I just think the books have set the number way too low here. The Spurs are playing absolutely no defense this year. They are giving up 116.6 ppg and 123.2 ppg in their last 5. They just gave up 138 in their last game to a bad Wizards team. 76ers offense has struggled but will have no problem scoring here. Spurs offense has been decent at 113.5 ppg and 116.2 ppg in their last 5. BET THE OVER 223.5!

The Dallas Mavericks should make easy work of the Cleveland Cavaliers just as they did back on November 3rd. They won 131-111 in Cleveland and another double-digit victory can be expected at home this time around. The Mavericks are 3-0 SU & 3-0 ATS in their last three games overall, winning and covering at home against the Raptors, Spurs and Warriors. The Cavaliers are 0-5 SU & 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. They lost by 24 at Miami, by 18 at New York, by 19 at home to Philadelphia and by 11 at home to Miami in their last four games coming in. So losing by double-digits is nothing new to them. Dallas is 10-4-1 ATS in the last 15 meetings. Give me the Mavericks.

I'll take my chances here with the Ducks cashing in as a 7.5-point favorite at home against the Cougars. I've really been impressed with what I've seen out of Oregon this year. They are 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS with their only non-cover coming in a 14-point win over Fresno in the opener as a 15-point favorite. They absolutely destroyed a decent Boise State team 106-75 and had that big win and cover over a really good Memphis team. Houston is decent, but they lost at home to BYU and then struggled to put away Rice last time out, giving up a ridiculous 89 points to the Owls.
I just don't think the Cougars have seen anything like this Ducks team and that's evident by the fact that Houston hasn't had a single shot blocked this year. I not only think it will be a lot harder for them offensively, but if they are giving up 89 to Rice, Oregon is going to light up the scoreboard. Cougars are 1-10 ATS last 11 as a road dog of 6.5 to 12 points under Sampson. Give me Oregon -7.5!

Cal Poly has one of the worst defenses in the country as they've allowed teams to shoot 56.7% from two point land. The Mustangs have allowed 77 to Santa Clara, 74 to North Dakota State and 79 to St. Mary's. The offense needs some work although they shoot the three pretty well. Creighton's offense has a lot of potential as they shoot 43.2% from long range. The Blue Jays have scored 82 on La Tech, 81 on Kennesaw State and 69 on Michigan. Their defense could certainly be improved too as they allow teams to shoot nearly 57% from two point range. Cal Poly has gone over in 33 of their last 57 games overall including 26 of 48 as an underdog. I think the home team does a lot of the work, but it goes over.

Easy play on Denver at home. This is just a bad spot for Boston. Celtics are coming off an emotional overtime loss at the Clippers on Wednesday, will be playing their 5th and final game of a road trip and their 4th game in 6 days.
I just don't see Boston having enough in the tank, especially in the high altitude of Denver. We saw the Nuggets cash in a similar spot in their last game against the Rockets. Houston had won and covered 8 in a row, but were playing their 4th game in 6 days and Denver won by double-digits.
Nuggets are quietly sitting at 10-3 and have won 7 of 8 overall. Denver is also 12-4 ATS last 16 at home vs a team with a winning road record and 20-8 ATS last 28 at home off a cover. Celtics just 1-5 ATS last 6 vs a team that's won more than 60% of their games. Take Denver!
