A veteran sportswriter whose work appears periodically in the New York Times and Los Angeles Times, Mike Tierney has covered the NFL for decades and reported from seven Super Bowls. Mike does not consider himself a pet lover. But he likes 'dogs, preferring to evaluate each game from the underdog's point of view. Mike used that philosophy to post a sparkling 63-46 ATS mark for the entire 2018 NFL season. Over the past three seasons, Mike is 197-162 in the NFL, returning over $1,800 to $100 players.

Seattle has lived on the edge all season, with 10 of its 11 wins decided by a one-score margin. The exception was an earlier meeting with Arizona, but that was in rookie quarterback Kyler Murray’s fourth game. The Cardinals buried a six-game slide on Sunday by pounding Cleveland. Seahawks defensive tackle Al Woods, suspended this week, was filling in for customary starter Jarran Reed, also suspended. The Cardinals can take advantage of a void in the middle of Seattle’s D-line. Take Arizona.

The drama surrounding Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott -- How bad is his shoulder? -- has kept this spread fluid during the week. Prescott is a go despite bypassing team practices. Philadelphia has seen injuries pile up, and quarterback Carson Wentz’s receiving corps has been thinned. The Cowboys are superior in most matchups statistically, and it’s about time their top-line talent starts producing wins. Playing in Philly, where they have won five of the last six straight-up, has rarely been a concern. Ride with the Cowboys.

A CBS Sports NFL editor, Brett Anderson has been covering the NFL and other sports for 25 years, from the Midwest to Midtown Manhattan to South Florida. He joined his first NFL picks pool at age 12 and has been hammering home dogs ever since. Brett's strategy is a hybrid of data, game film and gut instinct, and he also seeks out prognosticators on a serious streak to either ride along with the red hot or, often more profitably, fade the ice cold.
UNDER 37

This total is very low, but even if these teams just score what they’ve been averaging per game, it would go slightly Under the 37. And that’s not factoring in that we’ve got the No. 3 defense by DVOA on one side with the Steelers, and the No. 2 defense in stopping the run with the Jets. Take the Under.

The Bengals have won one game all season, yet this line suggests on a neutral field they’d be 4.5-point favorites over the Dolphins. Cincy probably does have a more talented roster, but Brian Flores seems to consistently get the most out of his team, which has gone 7-3 ATS in its last 10. These are the bottom two teams in DVOA, so I'll take the the one that's now getting points at home.
