I'll take my chances here with Orlando as a small home dog against the Heat. With the Magic down starters Jonathan Isaac and Aaron Gordon, plus two other rotation players, the betting public won't be able to resist laying the short number with Miami.
The fact that the books have made the line basically a pick'em given those injuries is very telling that they don't like this spot at all for the Heat. I couldn't agree more. Miami is in a major flat spot playing on no rest after a hard fought win at home against Toronto last night.
Heat are also not the same team on the road as they are at home. Miami is 16-1 at home, but are just 9-8 away from home, where they are getting outscored by 3.0 ppg. Orlando has also owned this series of late. Magic haven't lost the season series in 3 years, winning 3 of 4 last season.
Last time out Orlando knocked off Washington 122-101 and are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games after a contest in which they score 120 or more. Heat are 0-3-1 ATS last 4 games off a win and have covered just once in the last 7 times they have played on 0 days of rest. Take Orlando!
