NBA | Thunder vs 76ers
Play on: Thunder +7 -102 at pinnacle
Thunder +7
On Monday night in the city of brotherly love a crushed football city gets to watch their beloved hoops team as the Oklahoma City Thunder 20-15 (23-12 ATS) come to town to take on the Philadelphia 76ers 23-14 (16-20-1 ATS). The 76ers are currently a -7 favorite, and the over/under is set at 213.
Why is a team that is just 16-2 (7-7 ATS) at home a 7-point favorite against a team that historically has had their number? The bookmakers respect the Thunder. That's why! Winning road games, and being 7-3 ATS in the last 10 will do that for you. Not to mention Canadian Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 25PPG carrying this team.
Phili on the other hand are dominant at home with 16 wins against 2 losses, and I do honestly think they match-up pretty well against this version of the Thunder. How could they not with a starting five that consists of Harris, Horford, Richardson, Embiid, and Simmons. It's just really hard to bet against a hot team, and trust me the Thunder are that, and Phili are NOT losers of 4 in a row, and allowed the Rockets to make 12 3's last game out, something OKC can exploit. Last time these two met the Thunder prevailed 127-119 (Nov. 15)
Some trends to consider. Oklahoma City are 5-0 ATS & SU in their last 5 games, are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. Philadelphia, are 19-1 SU in their last 20 vs. Phili, and 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games on the road. Philadelphia are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games against an opponent in the Western conference, and Phili are 1-4 SU in their last 5 games.
I'm not saying they win, but I'm grabbing the points with the Thunder.
Good Luck, Razor Ray.

NBA | Nuggets vs Hawks
Play on: Nuggets -7½ -107 at pinnacle
The NBA comp play is on Denver at 7:35 eastern. The Nuggets have home loss revenge for upset loss to the Hawks as a 10 point favorite. Now they look to bounce back off a loss in Washington and catch an Atlanta team off back to back dogs wins. Denver has covered 7 of 8 when they win as a road favorite and 3 of 4 with home loss revenge. Atlanta has failed to cover 6 of 9 after scoring 110 or more. Denver fits a long term 114-53 bounce back system as well.. Play on the Denver Nuggets. Rob V- GC SportsComment

1* on Atlanta Hawks +8
The Key: The Atlanta Hawks are 2-1 SU & 3-0 ATS in their last 3 games overall. They are playing well now that they are getting healthy and with John Collins back in the lineup. They upset the Magic as 10.5-point road dogs and upset the Pacers as 7-point home dogs. They also only lost by 3 at Boston as 10.5-point road dogs. I like the price we are getting with the Hawks as 8-point home dogs to the Nuggets. Denver just lost by 14 at Washington as a 13-point favorite. They lost by 26 at Houston and were upset by 12 at home by the Pelicans. The Nuggets are just 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 1-6-2 ATS in their last 9 games as a favorite. They are also 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record as they have been playing to their competition all season. The Hawks are 8-1 ATS in the last 9 matchups and 5-0 ATS in the last 5 home matchups. Take Atlanta.Comment

Two teams shaping up as Sun Belt contenders will face off this evening when the Arkansas State Red Wolves (10-5) host the Georgia State Panthers (10-5).
Despite a two-point loss to Coastal Carolina in their most recent contest, Georgia State has won nine of their last 11 contests. Throughout that stretch, the Panthers won seven games by more than four points. Georgia State began 2020 with an away victory over Appalachian State by a score of 69-60.
On average, the Panthers are scoring 78.9 points while allowing 70.3 points per game.
Four different Georgia State players are averaging at least 11.3 points per game, and all four are shooting better than 40% from the field. Corey Allen leads the way with 15.1 points per game.
After winning three in a row, Arkansas State opened the New Year with two straight losses. Both defeats came at home, and one was by a margin of 21 points. Three of Arkansas State’s five losses have now come at home, two of which were by 19 points or more.
On average, the Red Wolves are scoring 67.9 points while allowing 67.9 points per game.
Nobody on this Arkansas State team is averaging more than 11.9 points per contest. Three total Red Wolves are putting up at least 10.2 points a game.Comment

I'll take my chances here with the Panthers laying a very short number on the road against the Red Wolves. These two teams come in with identical 10-5 records, which I believe is what is giving us the value here with Georgia State.
What most will overlook is the fact that while they have the same record, the Panthers have played the much tougher schedule. Georgia State's played the 65th toughest schedule, while Arkansas State comes in with the 263rd ranked schedule.
We see some of this in the two common opponents these two have played out of the gate in Sun Belt action. Both teams have faced UT-Arlington and Texas State. Panthers beat Arlington 83-77 and Texas State 81-69, both at home. Red Wolves lost 52-73 at home to Arlington and 67-70 at home to Texas State. Georgia State won these two by an average of 9 ppg and scored 82 ppg. Arkansas State lost by an average of 12 ppg and scored just 59.5 ppg.
Georgia State is 7-3 ATS last 10 games as a favorite and 6-0-1 ATS last 7 road games vs a team with a winning home record. Red Wolves are 1-8 ATS last 9 after 15+ games facing a team that is averaging 8 or more made 3-pointers and 2-10 ATS last 12 after 15+ games when facing a team that is holding opponents to 42% or worse shooting from the field. Take Georgia State!Comment

1* Free Sharp Play on Jazz -2 -110
My money is on the Jazz to cash in a win and cover as a slim 2-point road favorite against the Pelicans. New Orleans has been playing much better of late, but they are running into a Utah team that is playing as well as any team in the league right now. Jazz have won 5 in a row and 10 of their last 11. They have gone 6-1 on the road during this run with their only loss by a mere 3-points at Miami. BET THE JAZZ -2!Comment
