Alex B. Smith 5% [CBB] (635) Marshall at (636) Middle Tennessee St
Time: 7:30 PM EST Marshall -4.5 (-110)
Analysis:The Thundering Herd of Marshall takes on Middle Tennessee State tonight on the road. The Herd are a solid entry in C-USA play coming off a tough 3 point loss against North Texas, but has done well ATS, covering 9 of their last 14 games. Guard Andrew Taylor has been a big boost since becoming eligible right as conference play begins. Meanwhile, MTSU has been absolute moneyburners, failing to cover in 9 of their last 11 games, losing 6 in a row straight up and scoring less than 70 points in 7 consecutive games. They don't shoot well and they don't protect the ball well either, both are issues that Marshall will be able to exploit in this game. Laying a very cheap price, Lay it with the Herd as a Best Bet!
Line Parameters: 5% at -6 or better; 4% if betwix -6.5 & -7.5; 3% if at -8 or worse.
Our best friend is in action early and based on his betting and risk levels, I advise a 1 unit play on MTSU +4.5 over Marshall, 1 unit on Weber St +2 over N Colorado and 1 unit on Boston Celtics +2 over Philadelphia. I would of course also advise a 0.50 unit parlay on MTSU +4.5, Weber St +3, Boston +2, SEA/GB OV47 and Clemson +5.5. Parlay pays 11.4 units. The guy is betting so early today I did not get a chance to reset and run the LJP for these games. I will probably have that done around 12-1pm ET! It’ll then be up as usual on the below link. Also because he is betting early there is a chance he could be adding action so be aware and keep an eye
OREGON -3.5
ARIZONA @ OREGON | 1/09 | 9:00 PM EST
12:53 PM
Oregon has fared well in this series lately because of its effective matchup zone defense, and Arizona’s long-distance shooting has been spotty. The Wildcats have not played out of state in more than a month and are a risk at 1-8 ATS on the road dating to last season. The Ducks are quacking at home with a 25-10 ATS record in their last 35.
8-4-1 IN LAST 13 ARIZ ATS PICKS | +373
5-2-2 IN LAST 9 OREG ATS PICKS | +279
STANFORD -2.5
WASHINGTON @ STANFORD | 1/09 | 9:00 PM EST
12:48 PM
Stanford has established itself as the Pac-12 sleeper team. It is permitting the eight-fewest points on average in the nation and its shooting is the 13th-most accurate from beyond the arc and 12th-highest overall. All but two of the Cardinal’s 12 straight-up wins have been by double figures, and they are 9-1 SU at home. The rebuilding Huskies are sure to struggle.
WICHITA ST. -6
MEMPHIS @ WICHITA ST. | 1/09 | 7:00 PM EST
12:36 PM
A flu bug has hit Memphis at an inopportune time. The Shockers will be jacked up with their first “blackout” game - fans dressed in black - in seven seasons. It will be jarring for a young Tigers team that has lost a beat since the departure of C James Wiseman. Wichita State trends well against opponents with shiny records and will be at its best in front of a rabid home crowd.
