          Maryland +2 over Indiana
A light bulb went on at half-time against Nortwestern and this Maryland team played like talent they have on paper. I want to see if that momentum carries over to this afternoon. Indiana is better than a Nortwestern like opponent, but they do at time lack the same coaching blunders we see out of Maryland. This is a Hoosiers team that can be bullied and can be pushed around right in front of the rim. Not good signs when playing a physically gifted Terps teams. Take Maryland.

Bettor #4 (so far) is going with an average play on, you guessed it, Siena -5 over Quinnipiac. Siena currently achieves an LJP score of 3OPEN.

              UCLA @ OREGON | 1/26 | 5:00 PM EST

Stop the presses! UCLA has learned to play defense at this late stage of the season. The formerly tissue-soft Bruins have held their last two opponents to a combined 90 points, which resulted in Unders by comfortable margins of 40 and 14. With Oregon going Over in its last five home games, extending the Bruins’ streak won’t be easy, but first-year coach Mick Cronin’s emphasis on defense finally is showing dividends.

Strip the team names off the jerseys and compare the rosters, and this game would be a pick’em. The Golden Gophers are 4-0 outright in Big Ten home games, and the young Spartans must overcome a rabid crowd. The matchup’s most productive player is Minnesota F Daniel Oturu (19.7 points, 11.6 rebounds). He is cut from the mold of the traditional Michigan State big man and is better than any current one.

The book on Maryland: Final Four-ish at home, NIT-ish on the road. The Terrapins have covered once in five away games this season. They have yet to win outright at Indiana since enlisting in the Big Ten five seasons ago. Indiana goes to the line more than any other team in D-1 and holds a No. 12 ranking for rebound margin. Those are stats to be envied.

The Spurs have beaten Toronto 10 straight times in San Antonio, but these Raptors are ripe to end that skid. They're healthy, they've won six in a row and they're getting balanced contributions from a slew of players. San Antonio is just 9-22 ATS in its last 31 home games. Lay the small number.

These teams are heading in opposite directions. No. 25 Houston has won three consecutive games and nine out of 10 and is tied for the lead in Conference USA. South Florida has lost four straight and sits at the bottom of the conference. My model says the Cougars cover two-thirds of the time, so you're getting solid value with Houston.

Earlier this season Stanford whipped Cal by 16 in Palo Alto. On Sunday they'll meet in Berkeley, but even the home court won't help the Bears significantly; their average attendance is just 3,850. Cal, which ranks 330th in scoring (63.2), will have trouble scoring against Stanford, which ranks 10th in scoring defense (59.7). My model says the Cardinal cover more than 70 percent of the time.

Stanford has the No. 1 scoring defense in the Pac 12 as it allows just over 59 points per game. The Cardinal are coming off a tough overtime loss to USC and will take it out on the 8-10 Bears. Stanford is 11-1 ATS in night games this season and its defense should be able to shut down California, which is 335th in the nation in scoring offense.

The Ramblers are an Under team, while the Panthers are an Over team. Loyola allows just 60 points per contest and Northern Iowa permits 65. The Under is 9-1-1 in the Ramblers' last 11 overall games and 14-2 in their last 16 as a road underdog. For the Panthers, the Under is 6-1 in their last seven Sunday games.

The Bulls have struggled at both ends of the court, helping the Under to a 13-5-1 record this season. South Florida allows just 61 points per game but scores only 62. The Cougars permit just 64 points per contest and have been solid offensively, but the Bulls have held most of their opponents to season lows in points. The Under has cashed in eight of the last 11 games in which the Bulls are a road underdog.

Indiana has won five straight home games against ranked opponents and is looking to avenge a 75-59 loss earlier this season. The Terrapins are not the same team on the road as they are at home offensively. The Hoosiers have played well defensively, do a great job getting to the line and rank 12th in the nation in rebounding margin. The Under has cashed in seven of the last eight for the Hoosiers and 12 of their last 15 Sunday games. For Maryland, the Under has cashed in five of the last six.

The Huskies are just 1-4 in conference play while Tulsa is 5-1 after winning four straight. The Golden Hurricane are just 3-4 on the road this season but are playing their best basketball thanks to their defense. The Huskies have been turning over the ball a ton lately and will have a hard time finding consistent offense in this one. This should be a game that Tulsa can win outright, let alone ATS.

Tulsa is playing great right now, and it begins with its defense. The Golden Hurricane are 5-1 in conference play, having won four straight, and allowing just 51 points per game in the process. The Huskies are struggling a bit, especially in the shooting department since losing their best 3-point shooter. Connecticut has been solid defensively and is second in the nation in blocked shots with almost seven per game. The Under is now an incredible 23-5 in Tulsa's last 28 games following an ATS win and 10-3 in the Huskies' last 13 overall contests.

The Clippers have won 12 straight meetings and should be able to take this game as well, despite the continued absence of Paul George (hamstring). Kawhi Leonard is playing great, and if the Clippers' bench continues to contribute like it has, they are going to be tough to beat. Orlando has lost back-to-back games against Oklahoma City and Boston, and this matchup is just as difficult. The Clippers are 25-12 ATS in their last 37 games as a road favorite, while the Magic are just 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine as a home underdog.

The Raptors are enjoying their longest winning streak of the season and getting healthy at the same time. They are 15-7 on the road this campaign but have dropped 10 straight at San Antonio. The Spurs are coming off a horrible loss to Phoenix, but I think they bounce back here. They are just 12-11 at home and four games below .500 on the season, but this number is, in my opinion, a dead giveaway on who the oddsmakers think is going to win. Toronto is 0-7 ATS in the last seven meetings while the Spurs are 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a straight-up loss.
