I will go with the Longhorns in this one. They are coming off a nice win at TCU and I think that they will get another one here. Iowa State was blown out at home by Baylor in their last game and they are just 1-4 straight up in their last five games. The Cyclones have really struggled on the road and they are 0-4 in their last four road games. Iowa State is just 2-8 ATS in its last 10 games as an underdog. They will struggle with the size of the Longhorns. Texas has had the upper hand in this series and they are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games against Iowa State. Texas has a strong home court advantage and they will put it on display this afternoon. Go with the Longhorns.
3-Unit Play. Take #751 Oregon (-1.5) over Stanford (6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1)

Oregon is one of the top teams in the Pac-12. They will prove it again here. I had this number at 4.5 so I think that there is value in this one. The Ducks have won four straight and seven of their last eight games. Stanford has lost three straight SU and ATS and they are sinking in the league standings. Oregon is 24-9 ATS in its last 33 games overall and they are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 road games. The Ducks are 20-8 ATS as a favorite and 8-3 ATS as a road favorite. Lay the points.

Analysis:
Tulsa is a different animal at home. They've beaten Memphis by 40 as well as Houston. Their only home loss was in triple OT to Colorado State. With a win here and already having beaten Houston they can take over first place in the AAC and they will. One reason we bet against Memphis last week was their youth and I can say the same thing about the Shockers. They are suÂper young and Tulsa is much bigger, and they play offense under the basket so advantage Tulsa. In Conference play it's Tulsa with the #1 defense in most important categories, and Witchita State is shooting just 39% from inside the arc, which cannot be backed on the road. By contrast Tulsa has the second best inside scoring percentage in the AAC and is a considerably better free throw shooting team. They've got major revenge for four straight losses to Witchita State since they came into the Conference. It's just my strong opinion that the wrong team is favored because they've got the name/pedigree.

Take #711 Rutgers +1.5 over Michigan (4:30p.m., Saturday, February 1 BTN) When Michigan agreed to play this game in New York City instead of Ann Arbor they could never imagine that Rutgers could be this good. The Wolverines will likely have Zavier Simpson back for this game, but it will not matter, as Rutgers is the better and more talented team. Michigan got back on track last game against Nebraska, but they still have lost 4 of their last 5 games and that included two home games to Penn State and Illinois. The magic during the nonconference season has worn off and there is a lack of talent and once can see why John Beilein left. Rutgers has won 4 of their last 5 games and playing this game in New York City should give them a big edge in the stands. Rutgers is 19-7 ATS (2 pushes) in their last 29 games. Michigan is 1-5 ATS (1 push) in their last 7 games.

3 Unit Play. Take #728 North Carolina -12 over Boston College (6p.m., Saturday, February 1 ACCN) The Tar Heels have played much better of late winning two straight games by double digits and now should have Cole Anthony back for this game. Boston College just beats the bottom feeder teams and will not be very competitive in Chapel Hill today.

7 Unit Play. Take #822 Washington -5 over Arizona State (10:30p.m., Saturday, February 1 PAC12N) TOP NCAA PLAY OF THE DAY Washington played pretty well last time out against Arizona and should use that to win this game by double digits. Arizona State does not have the top end talent that Arizona does, and I believe they will not make enough shots in this game against the zone. Washington shot 50% from the 3-point line and made 14 of 28. If they come anywhere near those number tonight, they will win big. Arizona State lost to Washington State last time out and has had to stay in the Pacific Northwest for two days stewing on that performance. The home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 games between Arizona State and Washington. The Huskies finally get a get-well game and we collect big in the process as well.

3 Unit Play. Take #824 Hawaii -6.5 over CS Northridge (1a.m., Sunday, February 2) This game takes place during the overnight hours early Sunday morning. This is a tough trip for the Matadors who played Thursday in California and now must travel to the islands to play this game against one of the top teams in the Big West. Northridge is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following an ATS win in their previous game. Hawaii is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following an ATS win in their previous game.

As per your selection on the Tampa Bay Lightning, we have no problem backing them on the second half of a B2B as they are the first two games out of the All-Star break and the guys should still be fresh. Not to mention, the Lightning are rolling right now having won 7 of their last 10 games, including last night vs Anaheim 4-3. Now they get to take on an SJ team who just lost one of their best players in Hertl and are just not a very good team altogether. They've won just four of their last 10 games including just one of their last five. The Sharks also don't have a great home-ice advantage to speak of like in prior years, so we don't see how they neutralize the high flying Lightning. Take Tampa and let's cash another ticket.

The Iowa St Cyclones take a trip the Longhorn state to face off Texas who are coming off a big road win. Texas beat the Horned Frogs Wednesday night 62-61 kicking their 3-game losing streak and today I see them holding home court. Iowa St has dropped 4 out 5 games and at times their defense gives up tons of points. Iowa St is 2-8 ATS as an underdog.

The Florida St Seminoles are trending 'Over' games cashing 5 out 6 and if the Hokies can't slow them down the Noles will put up big numbers. Florida St is 4-0 O/U last 4 road games and Virginia Tech is 7-2 O/U against a team with a winning record.

The San Diego Aztecs continue to stay perfect 22-0 and their offense has been clicking on all cylinders. The Aztecs are averaging 74ppg in their last 8 games and tonight at home they will control the tempo. Utah St will need to be able to keep up on the scoreboard if they want to hang around tonight but at times the Aggies 'D' is lacking and their last 3 road losses they gave up an average of 79ppg. San Diego St is 5-2 O/U last 7 games as a favorite and 6-2 O/U following a SU win.

Wouldn't play this game if the number moves to -2 but I still believe this game has great value if UDS moves to -1. USC is 7-1 at home and the Buffs have dropped back-to-back conference road games. USC has won 5 out 6 and that one loss was against Oregon on the road in overtime. Really thought USC was going to be a solid 2-point favorite so getting USC at 'Pick' seems to good to be true.
