1 Unit FREE PLAY on Denver Nuggets -4.5
The Denver Nuggets got bounced in the playoffs by the Blazers last year which leaves a bad taste in their mouth every time they face them. The Nuggets are 2-0 SU & 2-0 ATS in their two meetings with the Blazers this year winning by 8 on the road and by 15 at home. They’ll show no mercy on the Blazers tonight as they are on a mission to sweep the season series to get their revenge. It’s a Portland team getting a lot of respect tonight off four straight wins and covers, while Denver is coming off an OT loss at Detroit and lacking respect. The Nuggets are 19-6 at home this year. Portland is 4-13 ATS in its last 17 games off a division win. The Blazers are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 road games. Denver is 8-1-2 ATS in its last 11 games off a loss. Denver is 11-4-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings. Give me the Nuggets.

The Key: Tough situation for the San Antonio Spurs tonight. The Spurs will be playing for a 2nd straight day and their 3rd game in 4 days after a hard-fought loss to the Clippers last night. Now they face a rested Lakers team that is playing just their 3rd game in 10 days and coming off a 16-point win at Sacramento on Saturday. Don’t be surprised if Aldridge or other players sit for the Spurs tonight as is normal in the 2nd of a back-to-back situation for Greg Popovich. The Lakers are 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 home games against a team that wins less than 40% of their road games. Take Los Angeles.

          Lakers -11.5
Tonight we get some nice NBA betting action as the San Antonio Spurs 22-27 (22-26-1 ATS) take on the L.A. Lakers 37-11 (25-22-1 ATS) Tuesday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. This one tips off at 10pm ET. The Lakers are currently 11.5 pt favorites and the Over/Under is set at 226.5.
After losing to Portland in their first game since Kobe Bryant’s death, the Lakers bounced back to beat the Kings, 129–113, in Sacramento on Saturday. Expect the Lakers to come back to the Staples Center re-focused and ready to win a couple of games in a row before hitting the road again.
LeBron is coming off his 11th triple-double of this season and 92nd in his career as he had 15 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds last game out, so clearly he'll be motivated tonight.
The Lakers are 2-0 against the Spurs this season and have won seven of the past 10 meetings. My X-factor tonight. Avery Bradley, who established season highs of 19 points and five 3-pointers against the Kings, look for him to carry the momentum over into tonight's game.
Some betting trends to consider. San Antonio are 2-4 SU in their last 6 games, 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against LA Lakers, and 3-7 SU in their last 10 games against LA Lakers. LA Lakers are 13-4 SU in their last 17 games, and 6-2 SU in their last 8 games at home.
Love the Lakers in this spot tonight as they're back home, and have some business to take care of.
          Lakers -11.5
          Good Luck, Razor Ray.

Play on: Nevada -10 -106 at pinnacle

Jack’s Free Pick Tuesday: Nevada -10
The Nevada Wolf Pack are looking to bounce back from a pair of tough road losses to two of the better teams in the Mountain West in Boise State and Fresno State. Look for them to make easy work of Air Force tonight at home.
The Wolf Pack are 9-2 at home this season with impressive wins in their last two home games over UNLV by 14 as 4-point favorites and New Mexico by 22 as 10.5-point favorites. They are 5-0 at home in conference play while winning those five games by an average of 12.0 points per game.
Air Force is 0-4 SU & 0-4 ATS in its last four games overall with all four losses coming by 9 points or more. They lost at home to Colorado State by 13 and to Fresno State by 11. They also lost on the road at Utah State by 25 and were upset by 9 at lowly San Jose State.
Nevada already won 100-85 at Air Force in their first meeting this season and owns them in this series. The Wolf Pack are 8-0 SU in their last eight meetings with the Falcons, winning seven of those games by 11 points or more. The Wolf Pack are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as home favorites. Bet Nevada Tuesday.

              Chris Jordan

I'm on an 8-4-1 run with my complimentary college basketball winners this season, and today I'm in the Big East.

My complimentary winner is on the Xavier Musketeers on the road against the DePaul Blue Demons. We're catching one point, so if you want to play this on the money line, by all means, feel free to do so.

Xavier is just one game better than the Demons overall this season, but ihas fared a bit better in Big East play, by two games. The Musketeers are 3-6 against conference foes while DePaul is 1-8.

Momentum will be flowing, as the Musketeers are coming off an impressive 74-62 win at No. 10 Seton Hall on Saturday, when they dominated on the boards by winning the rebounding battle, 51-22. The rebound margin was the highest ever for Xavier in a Big East game.

Senior Tyrique Jones and junior Naji Marshall combined for 38 points and 28 rebounds. Jones is the reigning Big East Conference Player of the Week after averaging 16.0 points, 16.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.5 blocks and shooting 77.8 percent (14-18) from the field against Marquette and at Seton Hall.

Jones is second in the Big East in overall rebounding (10.5 rpg.) and leads the league for conference-only play at 11.2 rpg. He always gives his team fantastic second-chance opportunities, as he ranks first in the Big East and third in the nation in offensive rebounding (4.2 rpg.).

Jones is also second in the conference and fifth in the nation in double-doubles (13).

Nobody on DePaul will stop him, and Xavier will roll to the outright win.

              3* XAVIER

Now 11-6 with my last 17 comp plays in college basketball after Kansas State snuck in the backdoor Monday against Baylor. For Tuesday’s freebie, it’s back to the college hardwood as we’ll back another underdog, this time grabbing the points with Mississippi State at Kentucky in SEC action.

Pretty simple explanation here, folks: Since a 21-point loss at Alabama as a three-point underdog way back on Jan. 8, Mississippi State has played seven games and cashed in all season. Not only that, but the Bulldogs are just two points away from a seven-game overall winning streak, as their only losses during this stretch were at LSU (60-59) and at Oklahoma (63-62).

Mississippi State followed up the Oklahoma loss with a solid 78-71 upset win at Florida (as a 6-point dog) and Saturday’s 86-73 rout of Tennessee (as a 5 ½-point favorite)—a winner you got for free right here.

While the Bulldogs have had their moments offensively during this 5-2 SU/7-0 ATS stretch—scoring 91 against Georgia, 77 against Arkansas, 78 against Florida and 86 against Tennessee—the big improvement has come on defense. Since surrendering 80 and 90 points in consecutive losses to Auburn and Alabama, the Mississippi State has held opponents to an average of 64.4 points per game.

As for Kentucky, it had won eight of nine games prior to Saturday’s 75-66 loss at Auburn. But John Calipari’s squad has been unreliable at the betting window, going 2-5 ATS in its last seven and 7-12 ATS going back to Nov. 19. And the Wildcats come into this one having failed to cash in three straight home games (granted, all as a double-digit chalk).

I expect this one to be close throughout, and I wouldn’t be shocked if the Bulldogs are in position to steal an outright win in the final minute.

                3* MISSISSIPPI STATE

Tuesday free play from Rupp Arena as the points work with the underdog Miss State Bulldogs against the host Kentucky Wildcats.

UK saw their 4-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday when they lost touch at Auburn against the ranked Tigers. While Coach Cal's team is 12-1 straight up on their home hardwood, they have only covered in 5 of those 13 home games, as the oddsmakers have tended to inflate the prices on Kentucky when in Lexington.

That is the case tonight as the surging Bulldogs pay a visit. Ben Howland's team has won 5 of their last 6 games since suffering through a 3 game losing streak in early January, and State has covered in 7 in a row heading into tonight's showdown.

Kentucky has won 13 in a row over Mississippi State, including a season sweep last year that included a 21 point win at Rupp Arena.

I don't see that kind of final tonight at all, as Miss State averages close to 74 points per game while allowing 65.5 points per game. On the flip side, Kentucky is scoring 75 points per game while also allowing 65.5 points per game.

I expect this SEC meeting to be a lot closer than the oddsmakers feel.

Take the Bulldogs plus the points.

                  2* MISS STATE

Portland has a little run brewing as they head to the Mile High City. The Blazers have won and covered each of their last 4 games, but they still find themselves 4 games under the break-even mark for the year at 23-27 and 2 of those losses have come at the hands of the same Denver Nuggets they will be facing tonight.

The Nuggets were eliminated last year in the postseason by the Trail Blazers, as Denver lost both Game Six in Portland and came back home and also lost Game Seven at the Pepsi Center. Mike Malone's team has made sure to exact some revenge this season, winning by 8 at Portland in October and then by 15 points in their December meeting in Denver.

Denver lost in overtime at Detroit on Sunday after a Friday win in Milwaukee. I expect the Nuggets to bounce-back tonight at home where they have only played twice dating back to January 20th (winning and covering both), as Denver has seen 6 of their last 8 games come on the highway. They are 19-6 overall on their home court, while Portland is 11-15 against the spread in their road contests this season.

Biggest difference I see here tonight comes on the defensive end as Portland is allowing a whopping 114.7 points per game while Denver only allows 106.5 points per contest.

Murray and Millsap remain sidelined for Denver and they were both in action for the first pair of Denver wins over Portland, but I am going to look for the home court to be just what the Nuggets are looking for as they make it 3-for-3 both straight up and against the spread over the Blazers this year.

                    Lay it.

                      Jack Brayman

My free play for Tuesday is in the NBA, where I am laying the points with the Los Angeles Lakers, against the San Antonio Spurs.

The healing process continues for the Lakers, who finally got to play after the shocking and tragic death of legend Kobe Bryant. Their game against the Clippers last Tuesday was canceled, then after an emotional pregame ceremony at home on Friday, they were defeated 127-119 by the Portland Trail Blazers.

They rebounded Saturday on the second of back-to-back nights, and won 129-113 in Sacramento. Perhaps that's what was needed, a trip out of Los Angeles, with the chance to clear their minds.

Staples Center crews have removed the large memorial for Kobe, and it appears the healing process is being expedited by trying to move on.

That's the best thing the Lakers could do at this point, as hard as that will be, and tonight they return home for what should be a mismatch against the Spurs.

Tonight is the third and final regular-season meeting between the teams, after the Lakers won the first two - a 103-96 road victory on Nov. 3 and a 114-104 road win Nov. 25.

Normalcy begins when the Lakers act and play like themselves. Look for that to occur with this blowout tonight.

Tigers (+) over Aggies- A&M must be really bad because I know Missouri is terrible 1-5 in the last six and having lost three of their last five by 22 points or more and 14 points in the other. Difficult to fathom how the Aggies can open just a 1-point favorite against the Tigers as they have won nine of the last 11 meetings and yet are such a meager favorite at home no less. Maybe the shootings on campus has the home side shook...I doubt it but it has got to be MISSOURI!

Wyoming got a confidence boosting win the other night at San Jose. Boise comes into town rolling along winners of 4 straight and they have a big game with Utah State on deck next I think they look past this Wyoming team which just lost to this same Boise team at Boise by 11 just last month. I think this team should be able to keep this game around 5 points and get us a nice home dog cover.
