If the Wichita State Shockers want a chance to take down the AAC title, this is a must-win game for them. They sit at 5-3 within the conference and two games out of first place, also trailing tonight’s opponent in Cincinnati (7-2).
It’s safe to say the Shockers will be highly motivated for a win given their standing in the conference. But they also are playing with triple revenge after losing all three meetings with the Bearcats last season. They were even knocked out of the AAC Tournament in a 63-66 heartbreaker and have not forgotten.
Wichita State has one of the best home-court advantages in the country. The Shockers are 13-1 at home this season. They face a Bearcats team coming off four straight wins, but three of those were at home. Both of Cincinnati’s conference losses came on the road at Tulane by 5 and at Memphis by 11.
Cincinnati is 6-15 ATS in its last 21 road games vs. a team with a winning record. The Bearcats are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 road games. Cincinnati is 5-17 ATS in its last 22 games following a win. Bet Wichita State Thursday.

I really like the value here with the UNDER in Thursday's action out of the Big South between High Point and Hampton. The books have no choice but to set a big total, as the Pirates have seen their last 10 games go over the total.
Hampton loves to play fast. They have the fastest tempo rating in the conference and 41st overall. One of the reasons that has led to high-scoring games of late is they don't play a lot of defense. They are giving up 86.0 ppg in conference play.
Bad defense or not, High Point is going to play slow. The Panthers are the exact opposite in that they want to make the game ugly and force teams to beat them in the halfcourt. High Point's tempo rating is last in the Big South and 315th overall.
With the game being played at High Point, I think there's a good chance we see the Panthers dictate the tempo, especially since Hampton doesn't force teams into turnovers. They are last in the Big South forcing a turnover just 14.9% of the time.
It's also worth noting that while Hampton comes in averaging 78.6 ppg, they are only scoring 69.2 ppg on the road, where they are shooting 44% from the field and 28% from deep. If they don't shoot well (50% or better), I see no way this thing eclipses the mark. Take the UNDER!

The set-up: The Sabres enter hungry for a win here. Buffalo is 23-23-6-1 and 15-9-2-1 at home, but it comes in having lost four of its last five, including a humbling 6-1 defeat at home to Colorado last time out. But here's the perfect opponent to get untracked against, as Detroit enters having lost nine in a row. These teams met in mid January and the Sabres smashed the Wings 5-1 and with another tough game tomorrow night in Columbus, I believe Detroit is poised for another big letdown here this evening.
The pick: Additionally note that the Wings are just 2-7 in their last nine road games after back to back shut-out losses (1-0 to the Rangers and 3-0 to Philly), while Buffalo is 10-4 in its last 14 home games following a five goals or higher loss in its previous outing. With a game tomorrow night at the Rangers, I believe the Sabres risk life and limb today to try and get back into the winners circle. Consider the home side here.

Thursday CBB Free play. My selection is on New Mexico State minus the points over Chicago State at 8:05 pm et on Thursday.
The oddsmakers really can't set this line high enough although somehow, it seems some Chicago State money has come in as of Thursday morning, shifting it downward slightly. Unless New Mexico State completely sleepwalks through this game - which I don't see happening - it should be able to name its score. Note that the Aggies already defeated the Cougars by 39 points earlier this season. Chicago State owns four victories on the campaign. Those have come against the likes of 5-18 SIU-Edwardsville and three completely unheard of non-Division-I teams in North Park, Purdue Calumet and mighty Judson. Even in its most recent game, an 18-point loss against UMKC, Chicago State failed to cover the spread. Perhaps a narrow five-point win over Texas-Rio Grande in New Mexico State's most recent road game is keeping this line somewhat in check. Keep in mind, the Aggies played that game following a one-week layoff and marked their third straight contest played away from home. This is a more favorable spot and I expect a completely lopsided result. Take New Mexico State (8*).

I'll take my chances here with Western Kentucky getting points at home in Thursday's huge C-USA showdown against Louisiana Tech. The Hilltoppers had started out 7-1 in conference play before back-to-back road losses at FAU and FIU. Two games they could have won, as both were decided by fewer than 5 points.
WKU is a perfect 5-0 at home in C-USA play, which includes a 93-84 win over one of the top teams in North Texas, who is currently tied with La Tech on top the conference at 8-2. I don't think they should be a dog here at all.
Bulldogs have won 4 straight, but last time out only won by 3 at home over ODU as a 11-point favorite. La Tech is 4-1 on the road in C-USA, but all of those have come against the bottom half of the league and they lost by 16 on the road to a UTSA team that sits at 4-6 in conference play.
WKU can light you up on the offensive side of the ball. They are averaging 83.3 ppg on 49% shooting at home. They also shoot 80% from the free throw line, which is huge, especially given how bad the Bulldogs shoot from the charity stripe (67%). LA Tech's defense is good, but it's been exposed on the road and I think they struggle to slow down the Hilltoppers in this one. Give me Western Kentucky +2!

The Trojans are 5-2 in true road games this season and will travel to Tucson on Thursday night to face the resurgent Wildcats, who are 10-1 at home.
Andy Enfield came to USC with unlimited fanfare. He led Florida Gold Coast to 26 wins and a Sweet 16 appearance back in the 2012-13 season and used that as a springboard to come to LA. Miller's 11th season at Arizona featured a top-5 recruiting class and the Wildcats were ranked No. 21 in the AP's preseason. Arizona jumped back into the thick of the Pac-12 race with a road sweep of Washington and Washington State last weekend, its first two true road wins of the season
The Trojans were blown out at Washington 72-40 back on Jan 5 and suffered their second 'ugly' loss of Pac-12 play last Saturday night at home against Colorado. The Buffs used a 17-4 spurt to start the second half to build a 50-28 lead and never led by fewer than 18 points the rest of the way (Colorado won 78-57). 6-9 freshman Onyeka Okongwu (16.7 & 9.1) finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds against the Buffaloes, while fellow 6-9 freshman forward Isaiah Mobley (7.2 & 5.5) led the team with 12 points. Senior guard Jonah Mathews (12.9) added 11 points but was just 4-of-15 from the floor. 6-11 senior center Nick Rakocevic (11.0 & 8.5) joined Mathews earlier this season as the 41st and 42nd players in school history to reach the 1,000-point mark.
The sweep of the Washington schools was the first Pac-12 road sweep in more than a year for the Wildcats. The team's outstanding freshman class is led by the 6-11 Zeke Nnaji (16.2 & 8.8) plus guards Nico Mannion (14.2 & 5.7 APG) and Josh Green (11.7 & 4.6). Returning guards Smith (8.5) and Baker (6.8) have been solid plus Arizona hopes that 6-10 senior center Chase Jeter (7.6 & 4.9) can play with his bad back (listed as probable ), However, 6-9 senior forward Stone Gettings (6.4 & 3.4) scored a team-high 19 points to go with 12 rebounds for his first double-double of the season In Saturday's win.
Both USC and Arizona had "off years" last season but USC won BOTH meetings, in LA and then in the Pac-12 tourney. However, this game will be played in Tuscon, where the Wildcats are 10-1, losing to only now- No. 2 Gonzaga, 84-80 back on Dec 14. The McKale Center has provided the Wildcats with one of college basketball's toughest home venues for 40-plus season (opened in 1973), a fact USC can attest to. The Trojans have lost NINE nine consecutive games in Tucson.Lay the points.
