6-Unit Play. #026. Take Arizona Coyotes -125 Over Edmonton Oilers (Tuesday @ 9:00pm est)

Note, we have a 7*NBA Today as well as we are +6100 this year in the NBA and 8-0 with 6* NBA Plays as well! We are on a insane 12-2 top play run, lets make it 13-2. We are rolling with the Coyotes at home in this one as small favorites. The fact the Coyotes are favored here coming losing 5 in a row, vs an Oilers team that is red hot right now tells us something. The Coyotes have now dropped down into the 2nd wild card spot and trail 3rd place in the division by only 2 points and trail Edmonton by only 3 points for 2nd place in the division. The big advantage the Coyotes have is they come in with the #4 ranked defense allowing just 2.67 goals against per game. This is why they are currently sitting in a playoff spot when many didnt project them to be doing this well before the season started. The team has bought into the system and they will need to get back to that today to grab a big win. Look the Oilers come off an emotional week playing their rival Calgary Flames in what were extremely heated battles, with all the fighting and tension in those games. I think this is a prime let down or flat spot for them here as series like that can take a toll on a team. These two teams just faced off before the all star break and the Oilers blew out the Coyotes 7-3, so they have some revenge here as well. I expect a focused and motivated Coyotes team at home today, grabbing a big 2 points in the playoff push. Great public fade to boot as well. Oilers are 5-11 in their last 16 games following a win. Oilers are 2-6 in their last 8 vs. a team with a losing record. Coyotes are 5-0 in their last 5 games playing on 2 days rest.

                3-Unit Play. Take #564 New Orleans (+6) over Milwaukee (7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 4)

2-Unit Play. Take 'Under' 246.0 Milwaukee at New Orleans (7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 4)

The Pelicans fancy themselves playoff contenders and they certainly have the roster to make a run at one of the last couple spots in the West. This game will show them how close they are with the class of the East in town. Milwaukee has taken apart all comers this season and with a 42-7 record they are not slowing down any time soon. They should be able to escape this one with another win but the Pellys will be ready to give them all they can handle. Take the points but don't be surprised if New Orleans is in this one in the end with a chance to get the win.

The Bucks rank first in defensive efficiency and should take advantage of a talented Pelicans team that's prone to turnovers. Milwaukee beat New Orleans by 12 in December despite not having Giannis Antetokounmpo. Lay it.

It looks like Robin Lehner will be taking on Alex Stalock for this game. Lehner is 15-8-4 this season with a 2.86 GAA and .922 save percentage while Stalock is slightly worse at 11-8-3 with a 2.93 GAA and .903 save percentage. The Hawks have won seven of their last 10 and they are better on the road this season at 13-9-3 while the Wild are much better at home with a 14-7-4 record. The Wild are just 4-5-1 in their last 10 games and the Hawks already beat the Wild once this season at home. Take the value in the Hawks.

TB is coming off a long road trip but has scored 4+ in 3 of their last 5 including 7 vs a decent WPG team in WPG. Vegas only allows 2.8 on the road but they’ve allowed 4 in two games of their road trip. Marc-Andre Fleury has given up 3+ goals in 7 of his last 9 games and Tampa Bay is #1 power play efficiency at home with 35.7% effectiveness. The Lightning are leading the league in scoring at home with 4.08 goals per game and the Golden Knights are 24th in the league in road power play with 15.4% effectiveness.

It doesn’t seem like a good idea to be betting against Penn State, which has won and covered its last four. But the only reason I am is that Michigan State comes off a loss at Wisconsin, and the Spartans win by double digits almost every home game. Michigan State's average home score is 84-59. The Spartans have covered eight of their last 11 games. Michigan State is the play.

Both of these teams look to be on the rebound after suffering through crippling cold streaks that put them on the NCAA Tournament bubble. Ohio State and Michigan have both won and covered their last two games. The home team has gone 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings, and that’s the way I’m leaning here, especially in the Big Ten where home has been a bigger edge than usual this season. Michigan is the play.

Nevada will be juggling just eight scholarship players if premier scorer Jazz Johnson (shoulder) misses his second straight game. Johnson is uncanny on 3-pointers at 42.3 percent and contributes 16.3 ppg. Though Air Force has dropped four outright in a row, it can match the Wolf Pack on 3s, with both ranked in the top 20 for marksmanship.

The Bulldogs could pull into a second-place SEC tie with an outright victory. They would be riding a seven-game, straight-up streak if not for a pair of one-point road losses, and they covered in all seven. Kentucky continues to win, but has failed to cover in eight of the last 10 at home and seven of the past nine overall. Standout forward F Reggie Perry can hold his own versus the Wildcats’ parade of big men.

The Tigers purged from their memories a recent disastrous road trip with last week’s win at Mississippi State, and they should find Arkansas’ up-tempo approach to their liking. Auburn has gone big with its lineup this season and can rule the boards against the relatively tiny Razorbacks. Their primary scorer, G Isaiah Joe (16 ppg), has been limping lately (knee). Devoe (knee) is doubtful Tuesday, and Georgia Tech would miss his scoring (16.2 ppg). The visiting Hokies can capitalize on the hosts’ slippage on defense if they shoot threes as accurately as usual. The Jackets’ 1-3-1 zone could be picked apart.

A value spot exists Tuesday on the Hornets as they travel to Houston. In their last six defeats, the Hornets have lost by 12 points or more. Hence, this spread has tacked on a bit more due to the Hornets being in a back-to-back scenario. Grab the underdog on a valuable number.

7-Unit Play. #563. Take Over 245 Milwaukee Bucks vs. New Orleans Pelicans (Tuesday @ 7:35pm est)

Great 10-2 Run as we post ack to back Winners in the NBA and look to keep rolling. We roll with the 7* Today as we feel pretty good about this game likely to be higher paced. Remember, you have a Pelicans team that feels very bad about losing their last game only putting up 109 against the Rockets and you have guys like Zio who did not touch the ball essentialy in the 4th quarter and Ingram not scoring. The Pelicans are making it more and more clear that Zion is the face of this team and Alvin Gentry was furious that Zion did not touch the ball late in the Game. Look for the Pelicans here to be very feverish in their offensive sets and at the same time the Bucks will want to prove something here to the Pelicans as well as this is the first meeting of these two between Giannis and Zion. Don't forget this game went to 239 points last time with the Bucks winning by 15 and here you have the Pelicans as likely an active dog at home coming off a loss and it sets up very nicely for a solid Over.

                                7-Unit Play. Take #20 St. Louis (-135) Carolina (8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4)

Well, the St. Louis Blues have sure had some ups and downs throughout the season and seem to be in one of their lulls right now. The fact is that the Blues are still 31-14-8 on the season and continue to lead the Central Division. But over their last 6 games the club has struggled on both ends of the ice and have only 1 win to show for it. But this team tends to slack on these longer road trips and tends to regroup when they come home. I will look for this trend tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes. The other reason why I like this play tonight is due to the rise in the Stars standings. While the Blues take their time off the Stars continue to climb in the polls and now are only 6 points behind the Blues. I think the Blues come to play tonight in front of their fan base and step up on defense tonight. Bennington has only registered 1 win over his last 4 games. This isn't typical for the net minder and I think he will have a stellar night tonight. Overall, Bennington is 23-9-5 on the season while registering a 2.63 goals against average. Look for him to get back to form at home tonight. Carolina has played well on the season and now owns a 30-19-3 overall record. But the fact is that the Hurricanes schedule has been relatively easy and the club has only had 4 away games in their last 17 overall. Take a guess how many of the 4 they won? That's right, none. Not only that, but they have lost those games by 18-11 overall. I fully expect St. Louis to have a great game tonight. The club is now 17-4-4 in St. Louis. Take the Blues at home.

                                3-Unit Play. Take #4 Columbus (-125) Florida (7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4)

Columbus has been one of the hottest teams in the league over the last month and while the Panthers have been playing better the Blue Jackets have the better squad. Columbus is now 28-16-9 but have only lost 3 games in their last 13 games. But most impressive, the club has held their opponents under 4 goals in all 13 games, they have also held their opponents under 3 total goals in 8 of those 13 games. Even better, the club has held their opponent under 2 goals 5 times and 3 of those were shutouts. Look, Florida has been great as of late but they haven't faced a sound defense like the Blue Jackets since Dec. 31st where they lost to guess who, Columbus 4-1. Take the Blue Jackets at home tonight against the Panthers.

                                1-Unit Play. Take #14 Washington (-1.5, +110) Los Angelas (7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4)

I rarely ever take a game -1.5 goals but the fact that the Capitals are so much better than the Kings makes this a safe play. You have one of the top offenses/defenses going against one of the worst in the NHL. Not only that but Washington has now lost two straight at home and will be looking for a big win in front of their fan base. Take the Capitals -1.5 goals tonight at home against the struggling kings.
