College Basketball(Bob Balfe) VIP 2:00 PM EST Rotation #829 Fairfield +7 over St. Peter’s Fairfield won the earlier meeting this year at home in a game they dominated. The Stags even turned the ball over 21 times and still won by double digits. This is a team that has more experience, is bigger and has the more established head coach. Shaheen Holloway has done a great job with Saint Peter’s, but this still is a team with a lot of freshman and he has yet to beat Sydney Johnson’s team head to head. I believe this game will be closer, but getting 7 points has a lot of value here. Take Fairfield.

Sorry had to get the play up before I could copy the analysis over...
Everything about WHY we have been backing Loyola MD lately has had to do with getting Santi Aldama into the lineup and flat out dominating fellow Patriot League opponents with size inside on both ends that cannot be combated against! Not only is Rapolas likely Colgate's most important all around players...he is the same size as MD's big...with Keegan Records, the frosh, available to spell him at times off the bench...also huge!
Colgate is the class of this league...will go to the tourney without an enormous hiccup...Rayman can and will shoot with fury from deep...and Colgate beat these boys at home last month by 22 points....Rapolas will exploit Aldama's inexperience that reared its head so poorly against American...where the rest of the world figured out the Value aspect of Loyola...but the team crapped its pants down the stretch and lost by a disappointing 5 points.
Matt Lengel is going to be in a PRIME position this off-season to take the next step as a hot head coach for an open spot a level or 2 up from Patriot League...and his team is so head and shoulders above the rest...he will have them ready to go no matter the competition!
Colgate has 2 Oopses already on their schedule against Lafayette and they also laid 8 points at home to LMD and covered by 14. I think this is an overreaction to the waves of money that flowed this week on Aldama and they will feel the pain as Colgate wins this by double figures

Oof....big ugly nasty award.of the day may go to this game. Wright State is the known entity of the Horizon this season but this league sure ain't decided yet! The Norse are ready to pounce at any sign of weakness and UIC is as poor on offense as they come...making.their name and record purely with defense and beating the lesser.
NKU is great ATS, great on both sides of the ball...and held UIC to 52 points on their own home court....I would likely have laid well north of 12 points in this spot...surprise. UIC is finishing the road/road Wright/NKU trip over 48 hours and it doesn't get any prettier before the Flames head back home beaten and battered badly!

Analysis:
I'm playing on VANCOUVER. The Canucks have been a streaky team all season. After recently having lost four straight, they've now won b2b games. Markstrom is off a 49-save shutout (3-0 win) last game and is expected to back between the pipes for Vancouver. Gibson is expected to go for the Ducks today and he only lasted a period last game, a 6-0 Ducks loss. The Canucks are 15-6 when off a win by two or more goals. They're also a perfect 5-0 when playing with three or more day's rest. They lost at Anaheim earlier but they're a far better team at home. Expect them to keep on rolling for another day.

The Jets are 16-13 with the under at home this season and they score the fifth fewest home goals per game with 2.71. The Hawks are about in the middle of the pack in scoring on the road with 3.03 goals per game. The Hawks have the seventh worst road power play in the league at 14.6% effectiveness and the fifth best road penalty kill at 82.4% effectiveness. The only thing that worries me is the Jets worst home penalty kill in the league at just 73.3% effectiveness, but that is a risk worth taking with these teams averaging 5.74 goals combined under these circumstances.

The Canucks are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games and they are 19-6-3 at home this season. The Ducks are actually 5-3-2 in their last 10 games but they are 11-16-4 on the road this season. The Ducks score the fourth fewest road goals in the league with 2.35 goals per game and the Canucks only allow 2.54 goals per game at home. The Canucks score the fourth most home goals per game with 3.64 goals per game and they have the sixth best home power play at 26.7% effectiveness. The Ducks have the third worst road penalty kill in the league and fourth worst road power play in the league. This is a clear mismatch, take the Canucks at home.

The Leafs are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games and they are 16-12-1 on the road this season. The Sabres have seriously struggled as of late to a 4-5-1 record, although they are better at home with a 17-10-4 record. The Leafs have won two of the three matchups between these two teams this season, and they have won six of the last seven between these teams. The Maple Leafs lead the league in road goals per game at 3.69 while the Sabres only average 3.13 goals per game at home. Neither team is very good at penalty killing but the Maple Leafs have the fifth best road power play in the league at 25.0% effectiveness. Take the Leafs.
